Rapunzel had sent you to your room. Guards surrounded every possible exit, meaning there were guards at every window, even though you were on the third floor, two guards in front of your door and two inside of your room, making sure you didn't even think of escaping.

Though you were freezing cold, that was the least of your worries. What would happen to Varian? To Corona? Everything was messed up, nothing as it should be.

You should be supporting Varian, your friend. Hell, you should be supporting your sister too. Even though she was the one who kept you in your room against your will, you saw how stressed she was.

She might be your older sister, but you had always acted like the more mature one. She was the cheery sunshine, while you were usually more calm than her. Usually.

Yet now you were stuck in your room, unable to do anything but wait for news. Wait for decisions to be made.

The storm had gotten much worse and coldness seeped in through the windows. Window ferns covered your whole window and you were unable to look outside.

After what felt like an eternity, some more guards arrived and opened the door to your room.

You looked up at them expectantly, waiting for them to tell you what the next move was.

"Princess, Rapunzel has decided to evacuate the island. We're here to escort you."

You stood up, feeling like a prisoner. There really was no way to escape, was there? Even if you did escape, with all that snow and all that wind, there was no way you'd even find Old Corona.

Why, you couldn't even make out anything! And you had grown up in Corona!

So, you accepted your fate and went with them. Outside, guards were everywhere, aiding people. Wagons were filled with necessities as you all moved towards the bridge.

You caught a glimpse of Rapunzel walking towards the house of a certain blacksmith. Huh, so she really would act on a whim.

While you personally didn't think chasing tales would do anything, you did hope that this would be the solution. If the Demanitus device really existed, it might just be your only hope.

Walking to the bridge took longer than expected. Th wind blew harshly, knocking people down from time to time which obviously slowed you down.

As you finally arrived at the bridge, when the harness of a horse tore. A barrel fell off the wagon, leaving a trail of oil. Pete moved out of the way while Stan stood Infront of everyone, protecting them. While Pete moved out of the way, he dropped a latern which he had previously held onto, setting the oil aflame.

When Stan spotted this, he cried out "EVERYONE GET DOWN!"

Right after he said that, the fire reached the wagon which caused a big explosion. You were knocked down roughly, landing on your back.

You heard something splash down into the water and moved closer to examine the damage, expecting the worst.

"We're trapped!"

Well, you definitely had no escape now.

Hopefully Rapunzel was right, because otherwise you would all be doomed.

The situation seemed hopeless as you sat there for hours.

What had you actually achieved? There was so much left to do. So much you still wanted to say. So much you still had to share.

Only when you saw a giant beam come out of the mountain top, was it that you regained hope.

The storm stopped.

Rapunzel had been right after all. The Demanitus device did exist!

You felt relief wash over you. You were safe. Everyone was safe!

Yet the guards still wouldn't let you leave. Something about 'having to follow orders' and 'not being allowed to let you go anywhere just yet'.

Well that was a load of bull. But, with two guards watching your every move, escaping was practically impossible.

Your mood dampened again as you glared at Stan and Pete, the guards that had been assigned to you.

While they were great people, right now they were just getting on your nerves.

You absolutely had to check up on Varian! Poor guy was scared endlessly when you saw him last!

When you had seen him, begging and pleading, your heart had been basically shredded to pieces.

Now, you couldn't even comfort him! He was out of reach.

Who else would be there for him? If his dad was in dire need of help, surely he wasn't.

And there weren't many other people he could call friends. Staying in his lab all day was bound to lead to that.

Who else would be there for him if it wasn't you?

Probably no one. Well, Rapunzel and Cassandra would be if they weren't so busy. But they were doing other things right now and you didn't think they actually grasped Quirin's situation.

But other than that?

You just hoped that at least Ruddiger was at his side. The raccoon would definitely try to comfort him.

You prayed that Quirin was safe. If he wasn't, you didn't even want to think about Varian's reaction. He would definitely be devastated.

You stood in front of your home next to Rapunzel, as the citizens of Corona cleaned up the mess the storm had left behind.

Your shoulders were tense as you waited for your parents to arrive. They were safe. Eugene and the others must've found them. You didn't even want to think of any other possibility.

When you spotted Eugene, you relaxed. The others, including your parents weren't far behind. Tears gathered in your eyes as you ran towards your parents, hugging them tightly.

"You're safe! We were so worried about you!"

Your parents only chuckled in response.

"We're not planning on leaving you anytime soon kiddo."

After your tearful reunion, Rapunzel filled your parents in on everything that had occurred.

Now, again, you were stuck in your room. Why, you might ask? For a silly reason, really. Your parents decided that leaving for Old Corona was still too risky. You didn't believe that. They must've had other reasons.

Maybe your parents did know about the black rocks. Maybe that's why they thought it was unsafe. But how would they know? Quirin didn't tell them. Unless they had sent people... Well, either way, you had no evidence.

And it wasn't like you could disobey your parents, especially since they're the king and queen.

So, you sulked in a corner of your room. At least right now, there were no guards inside your room. You had a bit of privacy. But, all of your usual escape routes were blocked.

You would visit Varian the next chance you got.  You just hoped you wouldn't be too late.
