Emily's POV

"Babe, don't hang up I haven't complimented you yet today." Harry said into the phone.

"Harry you haven't missed a day in the past month. Take a rest." I smiled.

"No. Plus, how could I skip on our one month anniversary?" He said and I could hear him smiling through the phone.

"Fine, go ahead." I said, but I couldn't keep the smile off of my face either.

"Number 30. I love the way that whenever I compliment you, you have the same look on your face. Your cheeks turn a light shade of pink and you have a little smile on your face, but your mouth is closed. Your beautiful hazel eyes light up but you look down, so I have to tilt your head up so I can see them." He said, sounding as cheery as ever.

"Harry." I said, feeling the face he just explained making its way on my face. "How do you know how to make a girl feel so special?"

"I only know how to make you feel special. You're the only girl that I care about. My one and only girlfriend, the one and only Emily Lynch. My one and only first love." He said, trailing off at the end.

"What?" I whispered.

"Sorry, it slipped. Uh goodnight. Um, shit." The line went dead and I locked my phone, throwing it on my bed.

I bit my lip, did he actually mean it or did it just happen to slip? I can't ask him. If he doesn't love me yet, and it was just an accident, he will feel terrible and that would be really embarrassing for both of us. Because I'm hoping that it is true. That he loves me.

Because I'm pretty sure I love him too.

Hannah skipped up to my locker the next day. "Happy Friday!" She said cheerfully.

"What're you so happy about?" I asked suspiciously.

"Because I realized that yesterday, the cutest couple in the world had their one month anniversary!"

"Never thought you'd admit that anyone was cuter than you and Niall." I laughed, shutting my locker.

"Niall and I are like an old married couple and that's not cute. I'm gonna get him to work on it." She said nonchalantly.

"Yeah, okay. I don't think he has to work on anything." I said, walking with her.

"Oh shut up. So what'd you two do last night?" She asked.

"It's just one month it's not like it was a year. He was busy so I didn't even see him." I answered her.

"He needs to get his priorities straight." She hummed.

"Hey, just because Niall is following you around like a lost puppy all of the time doesn't mean Harry has to." I said.

She playfully shoved me and shook her head, smiling. "Hey Hannah!" I heard Niall call while running up behind us.

"I rest my case." I said as he kissed her cheek when he caught up.

"What?" Niall asked, confused.

"Nothing, Ni." Hannah said, deciding to keep him oblivious.
//

"Hey." I said to Harry, getting off of my bike and letting it fall to the grass.

Harry came running out as I passed, so I stopped to see him.

"I was waiting by my window since school let out." He said with a cute grin on his face, stepping towards you.

"Aw." I cooed, putting my arms around his neck and leaning my head back while standing on my tiptoes to kiss him. As you could tell, my arm was feeling much better. I only wear my sling at school and while I'm sitting at home because it doesn't hurt much anymore, but it still needs to heal fully.

"Compliment number 31. Your kiss is literally the best thing in the world." He mumbled, brushing his lips against mine and then closing the gap.

"I could say the same to you." I whispered, because I was so close to him.

"You get two today by the way because I'm going to my moms house tomorrow and I won't see you. I like giving you compliments in person." He said sweetly.

"There are the love birds! See Hannah, I told you they'd be here." Niall said from her car window. I craned my head to look at them but kept my hold on Harry's waist.

"Niall it's his house of course he's here." Hannah said tiredly. I think that Niall takes the energy out of her, he's like a little kid, as if she has a son already.

"Can we all do something together?" Niall said excitedly, running up to us.

"Yeah sure-" I tried to answer him, but Harry's arms wrapped tighter around me, pulling me into him.

"Actually, I was going to take Em out tonight. I had to miss our anniversary so, it's like a late celebration." He said, smiling at me and showing off his dimples.

I couldn't help but smile too, "Fine, be that way." Niall huffed, "Hannah, lets go out without them." He announced loudly, causing Harry to stifle a laugh behind me.

Niall got back in the car, and Hannah waved at me like she was saying, 'Help me, my boyfriend is a lunatic.'

"He's like a cute little five year old." I giggled, facing Harry.

"More like a fly that never goes away." He corrected me, wrapped his arms around my waist again.

I laughed, agreeing with him, "So where are we going tonight? Or was that just an excuse to get Niall to go away?"

"No, I'm taking you to a park that's really close by. There's rarely anyone there, so we'll most likely have the place to ourselves." He answered.

"Aw, that sounds great." I smiled, kissing him quickly.

"I'll pick you up in an hour." He said, kissing my cheek then walking back inside. I smiled, then walked back to my bike so I could go home and get ready.

I picked out a casual, light blue sun dress and wore my white sandals. I figured tonight would be pretty romantic, given the location and details he gave me. I curled my hair and fixed up my makeup, then waited for the remaining fifteen minutes before he'd come.

I smiled when the doorbell rang. I ran towards it and swung it open. He looked up and grinned at me as I shut the door behind me.

"You look adorable." He said, kissing my forehead.

"Look at that, you got the second compliment out of the way." I said.

"No, that didn't count." He winked, holding my hand and pulling me down the sidewalk of my house.

I rolled my eyes at him but couldn't help but smile.

"Walk or drive?" He asked once we walked to his driveway.

"Walk." I answered, more than happy to spend as much time with him as possible.

"Your shoulder is okay?" He asked as he held my hand and we walked on the sidewalk.

"Yes Harry just like it was yesterday." I answered him.

He chuckled, "Sorry, I can't help but ask you."

"It's fine." I kissed his cheek because I knew he was only asking because he cared so much about me.

"The walk might take a while now that I'm thinking about it. Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes." I squeezed his hand, just to show him why I wanted to walk. It was just an excuse to be with him longer.
