The apartment was silent as the two girls stared at one another.

"Do it again."

"Lori-"

"Please, Lily, I trust you and I know you're very good at this and I don't care just please. Do it again."

Another few minutes passed as Lily constructed the spell. The same eerie blue light shot out from her wand to point at Lorelei's stomach.

Standing abruptly, Lorelei began pacing around the kitchen, her food forgotten. Her breath started coming out more quickly, a million thoughts running through her head all at once as she tried not to cry. "Fuck." She whispered, mostly to herself.

"Hey, listen it's going to be okay," Lily tried, walking over to her and stopping her pacing, "If you decide to keep it or not, it'll be okay! James is obviously going to support you no matter what-"

"How am I going to tell James?" Lorelei whispered, horror washing over her in waves coming faster and faster, "How am I going to tell anybody? How am I supposed to tell my family? I can't have a baby!"

Lily pulled her in for a hug, "Listen, everything will be fine. I'll be here for you no matter what happens, and I'm absolutely certain whichever path you choose everything will turn out fine."

Lorelei hadn't even noticed she was crying until she pulled away from Lily and saw a wet spot on her shoulder, "I don't know what to do." Lorelei whispered, staring at the wall behind Lily.

"What time is James supposed to come over for dinner?"

"I don't know, he said sometime after five thirty."

"Well it's a quarter till now, so he should be here any minute." Lily stated, making Lorelei's heart rate pick up again.

Grabbing the closest chair, Lorelei sat down quickly. Leaning over she put her head in her hands and tried to think of anything other then the panicked thoughts circling around her brain.

First and foremost, what was she going to tell James?

She only had a few minutes of unproductive thought before the whooshing sound of the floo sounded from the fireplace, "Hello? Are you both at the table?" James called out to the silent apartment.

"Yeah, we're both in here." Lily called from her seat where she'd resumed her meal.

Shuffling noises were her only indication that James had entered the room. "What's wrong?" He asked.

Lily stood from her seat, "Lori," she said, prompting Lorelei to slowly look up at the redhead, "I'm going to go home so you and James can talk, but we'll have to get together again - soon - to catch up, okay?"

Nodding, Lorelei stood to hug the girl goodbye.

James, thoroughly lost, also bid Lily farewell before hanging up his coat, "Did someone die?" He asked after she disappeared into the floo.
