Late Night Call

I understand that both of us are busy with our schedules but I just don't get it why Niall hasn't contact me ever since we met at one of the events few weeks ago.

I even started thinking that he is cheating on me or he doesn't love me anymore. I was overthinking everything. "Stop thinking of that. You know Niall. He won't do that. He's just busy just like you." Julia spoke up.

I sighed. I'm currently here in LA with Julia Michaels and we will be at The Late Late Show with James Corden. I'm very glad they choose Julia to be with me since she's my best friend and I'm much comfortable being around with her.

Niall is currently in Mexico right now. He's promoting his new single Nice To Meet Ya. I've heard the whole album and it was a masterpiece not gonna lie.

But sometimes it makes me sad thinking that some of the songs there are about his ex. I met Niall 5 months ago and Julia was the reason of it.

Ever since Niall started his solo career, Julia's been wanting me to be with Niall. Since all of us know Niall was a single guy for a long time. Around 2017-2018, rumors started spreading between Niall and Hailee. Few months later it was confirmed that they're dating.

And it fucking hurts me because that was the time I started liking Niall secretly. I didn't even told Julia about it before not until she sensed something and I ended up admitting it to her.

She is always supportive. The weird thing is that Julia and Hailee are friends. Everytime Hailee wants us to hangout with her and Niall I always came up with excuses.

I wasn't ready to meet him in person or like interact with him. Ever since Julia said I was pretty obvious with how I act when Niall is around or just hearing his name made me anxious and scared to meet him because he might notice it.

It was such a relief that Hailee and Niall didn't mind everytime I'm making excuses but later on when Niall and I became friends he said he was having thoughts everytime I refused to hangout with them.

I even remember telling him I was jealous especially the fact that I can't do anything about it since first—we are not close, second—he has a girlfriend, third—I have no chance and lastly—he was not mine and i can't be selfish.

5 months ago, I didn't know Julia was planning something for me and Niall that time. Both of us aren't aware that we are going to hangout just the two of us.

The funny thing was it was a party but Julia provided a private room just for me and Niall only. We had no choice but they get along that night. Ended up being comfortable with each other's company.

"(Y/N)." "Hello Earth to (Y/N)." Julia said interrupting my thoughts. "What?" I playfully rolled my eyes. "We finished filming yet your mind is still somewhere else. I told you Niall will call you. You just have to wait." She said.

I didn't answered her instead I sat down on the couch inside our dressing room. It was now currently 1 in the midnight and that means it's 2 in the midnight at Mexico.

"I'm going to get us some food." Julia spoke up. I nodded. Once Julia left the dressing room, I sighed and closed my eyes while massaging it. It was a long day and it's not even helping that I keep thinking about Niall.

Suddenly my phone started to ring, without looking at the name of the caller I answered the Facetime. "Hello?" I said. It was quiet on the other line. I remained silent waiting for the person to speak up but they remained silent.

I opened my eyes only to see Niall in my screen smiling at me. I frowned. "Niall..." I weakly said. "You sound so tired petal. Where are you?" he asked.

"Just finished filming with James and Julia." I said. "Oh. Have you eaten anything yet?" He asked again.

That is one of the things I love from Niall. He is such a caring person. He never fails to amaze me. I also noticed that he is an observant type of person. He noticed everything even small things and he's not afraid to voice it out.

I shooked my head. "Eat something petal. I'm not there to take care of you so please do it yeah?" He said. I sighed. "Julia went out to get us some foods." "Alright. That's good. How are you?" He asked again.

"What do you want Niall?" I finally asked him ignoring his question. He was about to answer but I interrupted him. "We separated ways few weeks ago, but ever since you never called me or not even a text. I was worried sick. The only thing I can keep update from you was from Tara."

"I know petal. I'm sorry. I know being busy is not an excuse but I was just not myself during those weeks. I knew you were asking Tara about me but I asked her a favor to not tell you I wasn't doing okay." He sighed.

I looked at him on my screen. Even though I'm upset on him, I still want to give him a hug and kiss but he's far away from me.

"I'm really sorry petal. It's just. I'm overthinking about us. I'm scared that you might leave me and that you don't love me anymore. I was scared that because I have no time for us it means you might find someone better than me, someone who will be there by your side 24/7 or someone who are not busy like me." He sighed.

I frowned. "Hey Ni. Look at me. Please." I pleaded. "Sorry I didn't gave you a chance to explain instead I acted stupid and let my feelings control it. I didn't know you were thinking of that. I'm so sorry baby you have to think of that but I promise you it will never happen. I love you so much that I am hundred percent sure and willing to spend the rest of my life with you."

Niall gave me a small smile and his eyes shined. "I love you (Y/N). I promise I'll try my best to communicate with these things with you. I know you're aware that I'm bad with communication but I'll try to improve petal. But you have to do that as well okay?" He said.

I nodded on him and smiled. After few minutes, Julia re-entered the room. "Oh so now you're smiling widely there." She teased. "I assume that is Niall?" She added.

I turned my phone on her and Niall greeted her. "Hules!!!!" He said. "Hi Nialler. How have you been?" She asked. She took my phone and told me to eat while she catch up with Niall.

After eating, Julia returned my phone. "Petal! I have a good news for you." He suddenly sound so excited looking like a child who just won a toy from Disneyland.

"What is it?" I asked getting curious now. "I'll be coming back tomorrow and I'll be with you for 2 months." "REALLY?!" I excitedly asked.

"Yes baby. I was supposed to surprise you but I can't wait and pretend nothing's gonna happen." He shyly said.

"Oh my God! I love you. I love you. I love you." I told him. He chuckled and said "You know you're so cute and I love you too petal."

We ended up talking more for a bit until we decided to end it since me and Julia needs to head back to our hotel near the place where we are performing the next day.
