The Stormy Story

For those of you who are wondering what happened to Stormy, Lauren (my friend from church and school FoofyKitties ) came over to my house and was playing with Stormy and Teddy (our hamsters) in a little pen, then Teddy climbed over Stormy, using him as a step stool to try to get out of the pen and scratched Stormy and Stormy got an abscess that got infected. My dad took him to the vet (Funny story: apparently, no one takes hamsters to the vet because my dad goes to the vet with a giant purple hamster cage and everybody else has a cat or dog and they chuckle at him😂) and the vet applied medicine to Stormy and now we have to give him medicine twice a day for a month. We have to inject it in his wound. I feel bad for the poor guy😢! And he doesn't like it but he's learned to tolerate it because it helps him feel better. I have to hold Stormy while my dad injects it. I used to hate it, but it's only lasts 5 seconds so I've learned to just let it get over with. What I like is that this whole experience has helped me gain more experience about hamster illnesses and how to deal with them. I also learned I do NOT want Teddy to get Wet Tail. We won't stress him out and he'll be fine👍🏻. Also, Stormy has stayed strong. He still acts normal he just has a big wound on his side. He also still loves giving kisses. You put your face up to him and he'll lick your lips. I know it sounds gross but I like it. The only sad part is that we can't handle him very much because it hurts him when you touch his wound. So we just pet his soft little head! He's adorable! I love him! Also, my friends have been very supportive through this so thank you!
