Maddi's POV

Daniel strode in and punched Drew in the head. Hard. So hard he fell on the floor. I hear his sharp intake of breath as he hit the ground. When Hunter lifted him up again, there were small shards of glass sticking to his arms.

"Why did do you do that?" I screamed.

"Because I can." Daniel shrugged.

"Sick bastard." I shouted at him. He cut Drew's ropes from his legs and wrists. I frowned in confusion. He picked Drew up by his shirt neckline and threw him against the wall. Drew slid down the wall, weak and tired.

I watched helplessly in my chair watching my boyfriend struggle to sit properly. Daniel turned to me and surprisingly cut my restraints too. Before I could react though he grabbed me by my hair and threw my head against a table, which I hadn't noticed was there before. He repeatedly hit my head against the wood and I felt myself losing consciousness. I felt like giving up.

My legs crumpled beneath me and I fell to the cold unforgiving floor. I heard Daniel laugh loudly and walk away. I heard scuffling and I felt myself being cradled in safe arms. Drew's arms.

"Maddi stay with me. We're going to get out of this okay? We're going to get out of here alive. Maddi please stay with me." Drew cried. I heard the pain and desperation in his voice. I wanted to call out but I couldn't.

Flashes of memories played behind my closed lids.

I saw Drew's radiant smile.

His beautiful eyes.

The time I cried on his shoulder after Daniel cheated on me.

The time we first met.

Our first kiss.

The time we made love.

The love he gave me.

The protected feeling I felt around him, in his arms.

His strong, sensual smell.

I gasped and eyes snapped open. Both Drew and I were close to dying, we both knew that. But we weren't about to stop fighting. Daniel was going down and if it meant we were going down with him then I'll be damned.

I endured torture with the hope of escape. I am not going to let Drew and I die on this cold, hard floor now. "We've got to get out of here." I croaked.

"Tell me about it." Drew cracked a small smile. I groaned as I attempted to sit up. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before pushing myself up. I wobbled on my feet and had a massive head rush. I almost fell over again, but Drew steadied me. He scrambled up as well but was too weak to stand unsupported. I took his arm and placed it around my shoulders and I grabbed his waist. Together we hobbled to the door. I pushed it and surprisingly it was unlocked. I was suspicious but I just wanted to get out of there. I did a quick surveillance of the corridor before spotting the exit sign. The corridor was dark and smelt of rancid meat. I scrunched up my nose as the foul smelt assaulted my senses.

"Come on." I urged. We walked as quickly as we could to the door, but that's where our luck ran out. The door was bolted with a large lock and chain.

"Dammit." I cursed. I looked at Drew and his face looked defeated.

"I should go and check on them." Hunter's voice sounded. I looked at Drew frantically. We couldn't let him find out we had escaped.

"I have a plan." I whispered. I urged go to go walk to the room again. We stood by the door waiting for Hunter to make his appearance. We heard his footsteps nearing as he whistled a tune. I heard the door open and counted to ten.
