I Think I Might Love You.

For hope.

You were in magnus apartment. Looking at the 5 people in front of you. Magnus, alec, izzy, jace and Raphael. Waiting for one of them to break the silence.

"Absolutely not, kitten" magnus started, waving his hands around in a classic magnus fashion. "I agree with magnus, you are not doing this (y/n)". Jace stated, you let out an audible sigh. "(Y/n), this is a stupid plan and I will not allow you to do it". You looked at izzy hoping she would side with you, but when you looked at her you knew instantly she did not agree with this plan. "Raph, you havent said anything, what do you think?" You spoke, your voice pleading with him. "I do not agree with it, but it is your plan and i think if you pulled it off you could save a lot of people-" you let out a sigh and almost smiled. "Im not finished" he spoke calmly, it sent shivers down your spine. "I do not want you to do it, you are risking your life for a chance, a slim chance" he said quietly. "Not for a chance, raph. For hope" you said giving him a small smile. Magnus let out a very audible sign and pinched his nose. "Kitten, i will not let you serve yourself up to camille for a chance to get to valentine. It is stupid and reckless" he said coming over to stand infront of you and for the first time in a while you looked in to the ancient warlocks eyes that you had come to love like family and you could see the worry, stress and age that laced them. You gave him a sad smile. "I have to try, uncle b. I cant just sit back and do nothing when valentine and camille are out there plotting something that will no doubt risk the lives of thousands. I just can't, i am doing this with or without your help" you said looking at everyone. "No" jace said loudly getting up off his seat and making his way over to you. "You are not doing this, we will figure something else out. I will not lose you again, (y/n). This is too dangerous, we will figure something else out" he said grabbing your hands. You gave him a small smile. "Jace, there is no other option and even if there was this is the best one we have. I have to try and help, he doesn't want me harmed remember?" You said trying to look into his mismatched coloured eyes that only made him more perfect. He looked back at you, you could see the fear and vulnerability in his eyes. It made your heart ache. "Please" he said quietly. "Okay" you said in a whisper. "I will give us 3 days. If we cannot figure somethig else out by then i am doing this and none of you will try to stop me" you said looking at everyone. They all had the same expression on their face. Relief mixed with worry. You felt guilty, but you knew this was the only way. "Thank you" jace whispered quietly into your ear. You simply bowed your head and made your way over to the window to let them talk amongst themselves.

You were sitting on magnus fire escape petting church. When alec came to the window. "Hey" you said quietly. He gave you a small smile back. "(Y/n), please-" he started but was soon cut off by you. "Alec, please dont do this. Dont try to talk me out of this, my mind is made up" you said quietly. "I know" he said coming to sit next to you and taking your hand in his. "I know better than to try and talk you out of something that your mind is made up on. Im just worried, youre my best friend and i dont know what I would do without you. Its selfish, i know. But I need you, we all do". He said looking at the brooklyn night sky. You rested your head against his shoulder. "I love you" you said quietly.

You were standing in magnus kitchen nursing a warm cup of tea staring at the 5 people that you loved more than anything, they were your family. Your very own little family. "Hey kitten" magnus said coming to stand next to you. You simply gave him a smile and went back to watching everyone. "You know if you go through with this plan you will have to say goodbye to everyone just incase. Are you ready for that?" He said keeping his gaze trained on the people infront of you. "No" you spoke quietly. "I'll never be ready to say goodbye to any of you, you are my family" you said trying to keep the tears at bay. He simply nodded and stood with you a while. "I still have 3 days" you said more to yourself than to magnus

It was early morning in magnus apartment, you couldnt remember falling asleep. You woke up and made your way to the living room. Alec and izzy were asleep next to each other on the couch and magnus was still looking through  some books. "Hey, uncle b" you said quietly, your voice still rough from sleep. He looked up and stared at you, taking in all of the details about you. He was studying you. Memorising everything about you. "Hey, kitten" he said quietly.
"Have you slept yet?" You said looking at all the paper and books scattered around the room. "No, we have all been up all night. Raphael left just before the sun came up, izzy and alec crashed out about an hour ago and jace-" he paused looking down at his hands and back up at you. "Jace wouldnt speak to any of us. He only came back and forth to get books or occasionally ask if anyone had found something yet". Your heart ached, you knew you were causing everyone pain but it was the only way. "Where is he?" You asked trying to hide the emotion in your voice. "Out on the fire escape" magnus spoke watching you softly. "Kitten, jace can wait. I would like a word with you in the kitchen" he spoke softly. You followed him through to the kitchen watching him make tea. "I think-" he paused, taking in a deep breath. " i think i would like to say my goodbye to you now. That way i can focus more on trying to save you" he said coming to stand infront of you with a mug of tea. He sat down on a chair and you copied his actions. "Okay" you said in a voice barely above a whisper.
You tried to steady your voice before speaking.

"I didn't think I would have to say goodbye to you. I had this picture of us in my head that we would always be together" you said giving him a small smile and going back to look at your cup of tea. "I want you to know i am so beyond great full for everything you have ever done for me and i am so proud to have been able to meet such an extraordinary and magical warlock" you turned to face him, taking his hand in yours. You looked at magnus and took in his appearance, glitter smudged all over his face and his usually neatly styled hair was a mess. For some reason it made your heart swell and you gave him a small smile. "You have always been there. Always, when times were good and bad. When I needed to cry or to laugh. You were always there for me. I love you, so much and i hope you dont regret a minute of our time together. I want you to be happy, uncle b. Be with alec, you only get that kind of love once in your life, even if you are an immortal warlock" you said giving him a smile. He let out a chuckle and looked at you and you could see the tears that mapped his skin. "Dont let him go, he makes you feel alive and thats important. I love you, so much". You said turning to wrap your arms around him. You let the tears fall freely as did magnus. "Oh, wow" he breathed out. "Okay" he said as he wipped away some stray tears.

"Kitten, oh wow" he breathed out heavily. "I knew one day I would have to say goodbye to you. But i didnt think it would be this soon; i dont regret any of our time together. It was such a privilege to watch you grow into this incredible, beautiful, caring, extraordinary woman and i would like to think i helped shape you into this amazing person that you are. I have lived a long time, (y/n) and i have never met anyone so extraordinary as you. There is a light about you that brightens up a room, you make people feel alive you are the beauty in the world. My dear (y/n)" he said stroking your cheek and giving you a thoughtful smile. "I will carry you in my heart, always" he spoke quietly. You raised your eyebrows at him. "I guess that kinda makes me immortal" you said with a small laugh. He joined in with you. "Yes, i suppose it does. I will always love you" he said pulling you into his side. You stayed like that, silently reminiscing about the past.
