My entire body was shaking, afraid of what Lily would do.
Just where is the teacher?! How did Lily enter, with a gun, unnoticed?!
Lily then looked to me.
My breathing stopped.
I didn't move.
I couldn't move.
Then, she said three small words.
"I am sorry."
Then, Lily shot herself in the head.
Other students had different reactions.
Some screamed.
Others ran away.
A few stood there, shocked.
Me?
I ran away, to find a good place to cry.
While running, I ran into Hunter.
That's when I broke down.
"Oh, Hunter, it's awful!"
Hunter let me hug him, and, cry on his shoulder.
"It's going to be okay."
"How do you know?"
"Because, I tend to always be right."
I didn't reply.
Unless crying counts.
School was let out. Since the killer was dead, there could be no arrest placed. They said for the next week, they'd investigate further. So, we wouldn't go to school until next Thursday.
When I got home, I just went to my room.
And cried.
