or when money isn't lenient enough.

i wanted nothing more than to go on the 2019 trip to italy and greece. even my parents encouraged me to do it, saying it was a once-in-lifetime opportunity.

so we pulled up the enrollment website.

and at the sight of the payment plans, my mother turned the laptop back to me, frowning a bit.

i knew what it meant, because it has been so often used. it said, "too much money."

i promised myself i would go to those wonderful places one day, make sure that money was never too tight to see the world.

but until then, and until the night made way for morn, i cried a little.
