a list of reasons why wren is stupid:
1. he's more like a big brother than a crush.
2. he's a senior. two years older.
3. you're on your period, wren, for god's sake.
4. relationships don't count for shit in high school.
5. he'd probably drop you like every other guy who seemed worth it has.
a list of reasons wren is confused:
1. you haven't had a crush in a long time. this feels new and better.
2. upon realizing you didn't like him like that and you're just interested in people romantically during this part of the month, you wondered if you'll ever legitimately like someone or if you do that they'll like you back. legitimacy was yet to be attained in your past relationships.
3. you realized that you just want to date someone and want someone to lean back against or feel and hear their heartbeat and have them around to listen to your broken words and thoughts.
4. no one ever wants to do that.
5. maybe i just won't be able to achieve that sort of intimacy.
6. i want to cry but i have no idea how to do so with a good reason.
