"Tell me one thing, and don't lie to me please."

It was two days after I last talked to Romeo, which was at his dorm on Sunday. Midterms had already started, and there was no sign of Romeo at any of the midterms.

"I want you to be truthful. No matter how mad it might make me."

"I'm listening." Romeo responded as he welcomed me into his dorm.

"Are you the reason i'm no longer suspended?" Romeo opened his mouth to respond but I stopped him before he could. "Don't lie."

"Yes," Was all he said as my jaw dropped. "I am the reason you are no longer suspended."

"Romeo, why?" I frowned. "Why would you do that for me? You had nothing to do with it and now it's on your permanent record! When it should be on mine!"

"That's exactly why I did it!"

"So that it would go on your permanent record? Are you crazy?" I raised my voice.

"Shh! No that is no where near why, I did it because nothing would change if it goes on my permanent record, but everything would change if it went on yours."

I lowered my voice so I was no longer practically yelling. "I don't understand."

"My parents donate a lot of money to this school, they could never kick me out or change the way they treat me, but they could change the way they treat you, and not accept you next year because of this dumb mistake!"

I took a step back taking it all in, every single word he said was swirling around my brain at a hundred miles per hour. "Romeo, you shouldn't have." Was all I could think to say.

"I want you to be able to come back next year, and there is no way that they would let you with 'breaking into the library after hours and running from campus security' on your PR."

"PR?" Someone asked from the doorway of Romeo's dorm.

"Permanent record," Romeo and I both turned and said in sync to the person in the doorway.

"Oh, so we're talking about Harper I am assuming." Hunter said as he walked in and took a seat in Romeo's desk chair.

"Actually, we are talking about both of us." Romeo corrected him.

"Oh, should I leave?" Hunter smirked.

"No you moron, now be quiet." Romeo shushed him as he turned back to me. "We can discuss this another time, okay, you still have two more midterms tomorrow, so you need to go study for those."

"Okay," I agreed as I started to leave his dorm.

"Study somewhere other than the library, please." Romeo smiled as I looked back at him.
