Claire's P.O.V.

"No. We are not gonna egg Braden's house." I say.

"Why not? Come on it'll be fun." he says.

"No." I say crossing my arms.

"Why not?" he asks.

"It's really mean." I say.

"Because what he did to you was nice." he says sarcastically.

"I'm not saying what he did was nice, we just don't need to take it out on his house." I say.

"Well I'm going to. You don't have to join me, but I'm going to." He says.

"I don't want you getting in trouble." I say.

"How am I gonna get in trouble if he doesn't know who did it?" he asks.

"Don't do it." I say.

"I'm gonna do it." He says standing up.

"No!" I say.

"I gotta go get eggs and toilet paper. I'll be back after I egg his house." Max says.

"No Max!" I yell but he closes the door before he can hear me.

~~~~~~~~~a few hours later~~~~~
Max hasn't come back yet and I'm worried. I decide to walk outside and see what's going on. When I get outside I see toilet paper in the tree and smashed eggs all over Braden's house, but I don't see Max or Braden.
"Max! Braden!" I yell. No answer. I walk around to the far side of Braden's house. I see Max standing there throwing eggs at the house.
"Max!" I say.
"What? I'm almost done." He says.
"I think you've done enough. Come on let's go." I say walking over to him and grabbing his hand. I pull him and he doesn't even move. I pull harder and he still doesn't move. "Come on!" I say. He thrown some more egg and comes with me. When I turn around I see Braden standing there with his arms crossed.
"What are you doing?" Braden asks.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Max asks sarcastically.
"It looks like you're egging my house." Braden says.
"Oh wow! Look who can comprehend things! Or is comprehend too big of a word for you?" Max asks like he's talking to a little kid.
"Come on." I say tugging on Max's arm, and he follows me.
"Claire, wait." Braden says grabbing my other arm. I whip around and look Braden in the eye.
"Leave. Me. Alone." I say.
"Can I explain?" he asks.
"No. Let go of me." I say ripping my arm out of his grasp.
"Please." Braden says grabbing me again.
"Let go." I say. And he doesn't. I try and rip my arm out and he won't let go.
"Let go of her, it's obvious she doesn't want to hear what you have to say." Max says.
"I'm not going to let go until she hears what I have to say." Braden says.
"Well I'm not going to listen to you." I say.
"Please, Claire." Braden says.
"No. Let go." I say pulling on my arm, but Braden has a grip.
"Please." Braden says.
