What they don't realize, though, is that
They've
Hurt
Me.
They joke, and they laugh, and I laugh too, trying to hide my pain. It seems like they're teasing, but they don't see how deep their words hurt.
What happened to the days when all I could do was laugh, because I figured they were joking? I guess the day I stopped laughing was the day that I realized
They
Were
Right.
They were right all along. I'm lazy, selfish, arrogant, cruel, annoying, cowardly, and a liar.
But
most of all,
I'm
Just
Numb.
