***Carson’s P.O.V.***

There’s this really fantastic feeling that you get whenever you see someone you love after such a long time. It was pretty much the best feeling in the world in my opinion. When you get wrapped up into their arms and squeal about just how much you missed them. It was wonderful, and I was happy to be able to experience it when Elizabeth entered the bar where she was having her hen party. I cannot even express how great it was to actually see her instead of just talking over the phone. It had been eight months of not seeing my best friend and having to put up with her brother instead. I missed her a lot more than I thought I would.

“Carson!” she exclaimed happily while rushing over to me and jumping into my arms which were already outstretched and waiting for her.  The other girls, who had all been waiting for the bride to be to arrive, watched on with wide smiles. “It’s so great to finally see you again,” Elizabeth mumbled as she continued to hang onto me tightly. When she pulled away from me, she held me out at arm’s length and then bounced in her spot giddily.

“I know! I’ve missed you so much,” I gushed back before my voice raised a pitch or two with a squeal of excitement, “and you’re getting married!”

“To the boy who once ran around wearing our mum’s bra,” Gemma piped in, and there was a blush threatening Elizabeth’s cheeks while we all laughed along with Gemma. “But seriously, he’s so impossibly excited,” Gemma added once the laughter had died down. She and the other girls-Megan, Navaeh, and a friend of Elizabeth’s from back home named Sonja-embraced Elizabeth quickly. They had seen her earlier in the day and the rehearsal wedding, though; I hadn’t gotten that opportunity yet, because Elizabeth had sent me on some ridiculous errands instead.

“He’s coming tonight, just to let you know,” Megan spoke up after hiccupping; she had already had a rather large glass of tequila, and she was nearly tipsy territory quite quickly.

Gemma looked over at her with a raised brow, “you invited the groom to the hen party? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose?” it wasn’t rude; hardly anything these girls said to each other was rude. They all seemed to get along very well, and I was glad to be a bridesmaid along with all of them.

“Well, Elizabeth and Navaeh both said no strippers, “ she shrugged after yet another hiccup, “so there was a game including Harry that I thought we could play instead. But until then, let us continue what we were up to before.”

“What were you guys doing before?” Elizabeth wondered while looking around at all of us for the answer.

“Rate the man,” Sonja answered her, “purely superficial you know; scale of one to ten for looks and one to five for fashion sense.” Elizabeth’s mouth formed an ‘o’ as she got the gist of the game, and she looked around the bar eagerly in order to join in on the fun.

“Him,” she pointed towards a man sitting by himself near the other end of the bar, and all of our heads turned to look at him at almost exactly the same time. “Eight and four,” she supplied, and we all more or less agreed with her. The girls were back to babbling, and I had quieted down so that I could just listen to their conversation instead. That didn’t work very well, though, because I had soon zoned out altogether.

My mind had wandered to the wedding, and a small smile was wandering onto my lips. I had always loved weddings, and I can’t tell how long I had had the dream of being someone’s bridesmaid. Now, I was getting to fulfill that dream, and I was doing it for my best friend. It truly was fabulous. However, there was also a lump in my throat when I thought about it because of one little thing. I was back in London, and that increased my chances of bumping into Louis. If that were to happen… oh gosh, it would all be over.

“Carson,” I could hear Elizabeth’s voice calling me out of my thoughts, and I shook my head just to clear my mind a bit more. The last thing I needed to do was doubt my actions of coming for the wedding when the wedding was the next day. Plus, there was no way that I would be missing Elizabeth’s wedding just because I was too scared of bumping into Louis.

I looked up at Elizabeth, “yes?”

“You okay?” she wondered with a slightly worried look on her features.

Without really answering her question, I asked one of my own. "Elizabeth, you're sure that Louis isn't going to be there?" I asked her seriously while all of the other girls were chatting away and laughing with each other.

"Yeah, I've told you a million times; he really wanted to come but he has something else that came up kind of suddenly. One of Harry's friends from Cheshire is taking his place,” Elizabeth shrugged. I searched through her eyes to see if she was lying; I had known her for years and I could usually catch her fib. However, Elizabeth looked and was a perfectly innocent person, but she was able to lie better than I could. For now, there was nothing in her face that didn’t make me believe her.

Elizabeth’s gaze left mine, and I could see her eyes light up like they always did when she was beyond happy. "Ten, definitely a ten, but maybe a three on the fashion scale," she called out, and we all looked over to see who she was talking about until we saw Harry walking over to us. I couldn’t help but to burst with laughter and the others were soon to join. I think that Gemma was laughing the most.

"Elizabeth, that's Harry," I pointed out. It felt nice to laugh again after our serious little snippet. Plus, I was always happy to see Elizabeth enjoying herself so much.

"Exactly," she giggled in response while slipping out of her seat and facing her groom to be with a wide smile.

"You can’t rate your own groom-to-be," Sonya protested.

Harry approached Elizabeth with a wide smile and opened arms before wrapping her in a hug that she gladly returned. "Hello, my beautiful fiancée," he gushed while pressing a kiss to her lips and making us all 'aw'.  It was nice to see them both so happy, and yet it stung a little to think about the fact that I used to have a relationship just like that. If I hadn’t made such a horrible mistake, I wouldn’t have had to leave the relationship. “So,” Harry drawled out and succeeded in drawing me out of my thoughts. He had his arm draped over Elizabeth’s shoulder, and she was looking up at him as if he was the whole entire world. “I was told that I would be part of a game?”

“Yep!” Megan exclaimed, and yes, she was definitely tipsy at that point. We all couldn’t help but to laugh as she stumbled forward and started to explain the game to Elizabeth and Harry. I sat in my seat and let my mind drift for what felt like the thousandth time in the past few days. A myriad of thoughts were there, and most of them were about the wedding. It wasn’t even my wedding, but I had this sort of jittery feeling in the pit of my stomach. Odd.

Hello! It's been so long since I have put an A\N at the end of the chapter.... well, it feels like it has been forever. I hope all of you are enjoying the story, and there is certainly a lot coming up. Well, I know that the increasing importance placed on this wedding and Harry and Elizabeth might be getting annoying, but I hope you see why it is such a big thing now.
