"𝐍𝐀𝐒, 𝐈 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐕𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐓, 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐒-" Missy began as the three girls walked through the school gates.

"Gay?" Nas finished for her. "Yeah, he told me while we skating last night. I mean...it's definitely an option."

"I can't believe your mum set that whole thing up, she's a genius." Mollie chuckled, causing Missy to nod in agreement.

"I know. She went to Hebden Bridge and everything, that's how she got the idea in the first place. She's really making an effort to understand, well, me." Nas shrugged, a soft smile on her lips as she thought fondly about her mum.

"I bloody love Mrs Paracha." Missy said.

"Yeah. I do too." Nas smiled sheepishly, popping her arms through her best friends' arms as they entered the school and continued chatting about their eventful night of ice skating.

𝐌𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐄 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐃 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐄𝐑, a video of the St Mark's rugby team performing their haka playing on the screen. If she didn't know any better, she would've guessed that they were actually professional rugby players.

When the video ended, Cory put his phone back in his blazer pocket and slumped down onto a seat in the Sixth Form Hub. "We're gonna die. We're actually gonna die."

"We're so screwed." Riz muttered, running a hand through his hair worriedly. "My dad thinks we're a bunch of losers."

"Yeah, so does everyone." Cory added with a dry laugh.

"So? Prove them wrong." Mollie shrugged as if it was obvious. The two boys exchanged a look of confusion before turning back to her.

"How the hell are we meant to do that, Mol?" Cory scrunched his nose up. "You saw that video, and that's just their haka. It's practically men versus boys."

"All I'm saying is that if you go into the match expecting to lose, then you definitely will." Mollie explained. "Don't go down without a fight. If you're gonna lose, do it with honour."

"She's right." Riz nodded as he sent Mollie a soft smile. "We may not have wanted it, but we're a team now."

Cory cracked a smile. "That was so cheesy, bro."

"Shut up Cory. I thought it was a really nice sentiment, Riz." Mollie rolled her eyes at her brother, slapping the back of his head lightly. "Screw St Marks and their stupid haka, you have to show them what Ackley Bridge is all about."

Cory nodded slowly as he processed his sister's words and looked over at Riz. "I think I've got an idea, bro."

"Cory having an idea? That's never a good thing." Mollie joked as she started getting up, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "Riz, make sure it's nothing too stupid, would ya?"

"Can't promise anything. You know what Cory's like, Mol." Riz played along, shrugging his shoulders helplessly. When Mollie grinned at him, he couldn't help but smile back instinctively. She just had that effect on him.

"Oi." Cory fired at them, furrowing his eyebrows in clear offence. "I hate you both. You'll be jealous that you didn't come up with it. My idea is actually pretty brilliant."

"For once." Mollie and Riz said in sync, equally as sarcastic as each other which only annoyed Cory even further.

"Stop ganging up on me. I don't like it." He huffed, pouting like a child.

"You know we love you really, Cory." Mollie grinned, ruffling her brother's hair affectionately. "By the way, I'm heading to the canteen. Either of you want anything?"

Riz shook his head politely, while Cory rubbed his hands together excitedly. "Yeah, will you get me some crisps? Oh, and one of them little muffins as well. And another cheese sandwich, but only if it's on brown bread."

"Wish I'd never bloody asked." Mollie rolled her eyes playfully at him as she headed towards the door.

"What? I need something to power this genius brain of mine." Cory said with a shrug, making both Mollie and Riz roll their eyes in sync. All he did was smirk and leaned back in the seat, still confident that he'd been given the brains in the family.

She was nearly there when a familiar voice called her name and almost gave her a fright. Her face softened when she recognized who the voice belonged to, and she looked up to see Jordan leaning sheepishly against the wall.

"Hey, Jord. You alright?"

"Yeah, I'm good." He gave her a small nod, stuffing his hands in his blazer pocket. "Feel like I haven't seen you in ages."

"Yeah, well Missy's on her own at the moment so I've been trying to keep her company." She said softly, leaning against the opposite wall so she was facing him. "She's trying to get Hayley back, though, so once she does I'll be back."

"You'd better." Jordan chuckled quietly. "I miss our Star Wars nights. Cory doesn't get it like you do, and dad...well he's just dad, ain't he?"

"I think I'd actually be offended if you were watching Star Wars with anyone else. That's our thing." Mollie smiled fondly. Of course, Jordan had a pretty tough reputation at Ackley Bridge as a trouble maker, but she knew him in a completely different way. The boy who geeked out over Star Wars and challenged her to see if she could fit more marshmallows in her mouth than he could. She knew the real Jordan Wilson. "Look, how about I come back tonight and we order a takeaway and watch it together?"

"Really?" He looked up with hopeful eyes.

"Yeah, I'm sure Missy will survive without me for one night."

"Well yeah, alright then." Jordan's lips curved into a slight smile and he nodded firmly. "But if you tell anyone at school that I like Star Wars, I will literally kill you."

"Don't worry bro, I wouldn't dream of ruining your stone cold reputation." She chuckled sarcastically, making Jordan roll his eyes.

"Shut up."

"Love you too, Jordan."

"Yeah whatever." He said dismissively, but sent his sister a fond smile. By his standards, that was as much affection as he'd show sometimes so Mollie knew to appreciate it. Ruffling his hair like she'd done to Cory just minute ago, she couldn't help but smile at him.

"I'll see ya later, Jord."
