Chapter 40: Possessive

Gia walked to the location of the wedding ceremony. She glanced to the left and right until she saw where Adelina and Seb were sitting at. There was an empty seat between them. She thought that they had probably prepared it for her. "Mom, Seb," she greeted them.

"Hi, Gia. Sit down here."

"Okay, mom."

Gia took her seat. She glanced at Seb and he gave her a smile, her favourite smile. "How's Mariska?" he asked.

"She's quite nervous. But she really can't wait for the ceremony," Gia smiled, remembering how nervous Mariska was.

"That's good. I didn't have a chance to meet Tobias."

"It's fine, Seb. I didn't meet him either. We can talk to him later."

Then, Gia opened her clutch bag to take her phone. She checked it in case she got a message. But she found nothing, so she put it back inside. Some minutes after, the priest came. He was reading something on a paper while waiting for the ceremony to start. Not long after that, the groom arrived. Tobias shook hands with the priest and discussed something to him.

"Gia, Tobias looks so manly and handsome."

Gia smiled. "Yes, you are right, mom."

"I like how he treats Mariska very well. He will be an amazing husband to her," Adelina said, praising Mariska's husband-to-be.

"I couldn't agree more."

All of the guests fell silent when the bride and her father arrived. Mariska brought a flower bouquet of purple silk rose in her hand. Gia couldn't take her attention away from her. The bride glanced at her and gave her a wink, which she responded with a smile.

Maximilian walked Mariska down the aisle. Before he left, he said something to Tobias and hugged him. He didn't forget to kiss his daughter's cheek. The wedding ceremony went peace and quiet. Tobias and Mariska delivered their vows in front of the priest and the invited guests.

All of the guests applauded and smiled when the bride and groom kissed as they officially became a husband and wife. Gia couldn't hold her tears as she was happy to see them. Seb who saw her crying immediately took his handkerchief out from his pocket and gave it to her.

"Seb?"

"Wipe your tears with this."

"No, you don't have to-"

"It's okay."

Then Gia took it from him. "Thanks."

Gia wiped her cheeks gently. Both of them didn't realize that Adelina was paying attention on their interaction. And she smiled. She couldn't wait for them to stand in Mariska and Tobias' position... if God let them.

Gia was drinking a glass of mocktail when she heard someone call her. She put the half-filled glass on her hand to the table as she realized who that was. "Franz."

"Georgia."

Gia hugged him. It was a long time for them not to meet. "How are you, Franz?"

"I'm good. What about you and your mother?"

"We are fine. My mom comes here too," Gia smiled.

"What about Gilbert?"

"Unfortunately he can't come here. Tomorrow, he will have so many tasks to do. He would be tired if he came here."

"Oh, I see. Erm, Gia?"

"Yes?"

"I've heard from Ivy and Iris that you are a childhood friend of Sebastian Vettel. Is that true?"
