"What did he say about what?" I ask in slight confusion as they stare at me with mouths agape and wide eyes.

They look kinda funny.

"Are you serious?" Mere mumbles, "About Eleanor, gosh Laine" she facepalms as she bends to the knee in front of where I sit.

Eleanor, waiting in anticipation, I can tell she's feeling the pressure, "Did Beck say anything about me at all?"

Her puppy dog eyes never had an effect on me. Everyone else, now that's a different story.

Although, right at this very moment I feel guilty for some odd, unknown reason and I don't like this feeling. It's so not needed, "uh yeah, actually, he's excited that you're going to his party, I told him about how excited you are and yeah, he smiled"

It wasn't a lie, that did happen. Just, not in that particular way...

-

Sigh.

Six.

Big sigh.

Five... Four.

Even bigger sigh.

Three.

Long sigh.

Two... One.

"I can't believe I'm actually going to Beck's party, I mean, yeah I know we've hung out a few times but, that was always with other people," Eleanor rambles holding her books to her chest as we walk to our next class, "this time I just want, you know, alone time with him"

As she goes on and on about how much she wants Beckinsale and how hot and kind he is, I can't help but, think back to my first day in the nurse's office and meeting that boy.

Henry Forrester.

The way he looked like the strength of three men and yet seemed to be the sweetest soul I'd ever met.

I haven't really seen him since the day we met. I've been preoccupied. Meddling in my best friends love life is exhausting.

As I reach the corner before the classroom I'm stopped abruptly by a voice calling my name, "Elaine Dearly!"

I freeze and look to Eleanor and our other friend George, they're Beck's cousin and Lillian Sawyer's older sister.

They used to get bullied because their name isn't as feminine as people believe but, George sure showed them. To be honest, they're the toughest and most feminine beauty I've ever met.

"Elaine!" the voice calls again, "hey"

I turn slowly, in sync with Eleanor and George as they stare wide eyed with their jaws dropped. I roll my eyes at them but, quickly mask it with a smile of surprise, "Henry. How are you? Where have you been?"

"I actually just changed my schedule, I didn't like the classes, the teachers... or the students for that matter " he frowns and I'd be lying if I said he wasn't cute.

"Oh? So, what class do you have right now?" I ask, hoping he says his next class is Visual Arts with Ms Messa.

He smiles and I internally swoon feeling my tummy turn with knots while he replies, "Art with Ms Messa"

I return the smile, possibly wider than I've ever smiled. I feel the curious stares of Eleanor and George on my, what I imagine, is my cherry red cheeks as we enter the classroom.

Feeling eyes on me, I turn to look toward the row of lockers across the hall and for a split second I see the piercing eyes of the golden boy next door.

-

"You know, I was wondering why I hadn't seen you since we met on the first day, I thought I'd hit my head that hard that I was daydreaming" I chuckle as he laughs a hearty laugh, tilting his head back.

I admire his features as I follow the lining of his jaw to he slightly curved point of his nose and even as I try to count the strokes of hair on his eyebrows. His lips, the colour of caramel with a hint of light pink.

I hadn't realised I was staring until I blink and see that he's looking at me with a smirk and no, not the obnoxious type like Beck's but, a delicate one.

I feel like my heart is running a marathon at the pace of a Cheetah.

"You have beautiful eyes, you know. Has anyone ever told you?" he says and it's as if my heart could not beat any faster.

"Uh, I guess not as much as they should" I say awkwardly as he smiles and goes back to sketching.

-

"So, I'll uh see you soon, Elaine Dearly"

"I'll see you soon, Henry Forrester"

I suck in my bottom lip as he walks away still smiling as usual and I turn to see Eleanor and George with crossed arms and raised eyebrows as if to say; 'Spill'

I sigh.

This is going to be a long day and it's only 12:55pm.

"Care to explain, Elaine Dearly" Eleanor coos poking my probably red cheek.

George snickers as they watch us, "That was honestly unexpected, he's in the soccer team with Beck and damn... Girl, I understand"

We laugh as we stroll down the hall to the cafeteria, "I met him in the nurse's office on the first day after Beckinsale decided to hit me in the face  with a soccer ball"

I watch as they cringe and I can't help but, agree.

"Yikes, well you're lucky you're gorgeous, El. If I were you in that situation, I'd have died of embarrassment" Eleanor shares, linking arms with me, "I mean, I did die if embarrassment, I always do whenever it comes to Beck"

George sighs and tells Eleanor about how they see Beck, "Beck is very independent and yet he's still one to love attention especially being in the centre of it all. I, honestly, do not know how we are related"

I chuckle as we see Meredith at our table, "I'm just glad it's you and not me, George" I say as we part ways with her, "see you later"

They blows kisses as they leave to sit by their friends. Eleanor takes her seat as I turn and sit across from Mere.

"So, what did I miss?"
