Confused Kaira (H)

Kaira was standing in the balcony, deep in her thoughts.

Riya comes on the door and keeps staring at her, then walks a little closer to her.

Kaira didn't notice her, so she turns to go to her room.

When riya asks, "kya chal raha hai tumhara?"

Kaira turns to face her.

"Amar ka 3 baar call aa chuka hai, yahan ghar pe...mouse ne sab bataya hai mujhe...kitne saalon tak aise hi confused rehne wali ho tum (kaira puts her hands in the pockets of her track pants)...grow up kairu grow up" riya says irritated with kaira's confused behavior.

Kaira doesn't say anything and goes into her room, riya follows her, till the door.

Kaira looks behind at her, over her shoulder.

"Kaira relations koi tv, fridge, washing machine nahi hain,rishton ke saath garuntee ya warranty card nahi aata hai (kaira looks ahead, not wanting to hear riya), woh kharab hote hain toh repair karna padhta hai, khatam hua toh refil karna padhta hai (she walks in) and purane hojayen toh refresh karna padhta hai, inmein se kuch bhi tumhe nahi aata na agar, toh tum kisi ke saath bhi khush nahi reh paogi...jaise tumhe karan ki kuch aadatein nahi pasand hain, chid hain unse...waise hi use bhi toh tumhare baaremein kuch nahi pasand hoga, par woh uss baat ka issue nahi bana raha hai, kyunki woh pyaara karta hai tumse...(then she places her hand on kaira's shoulder) and yeh sabse jyada important hai "

Kaira turns to look at her.

"meri mere best friend se nahi hui hai, but jiss se meri shaddi hui hai, woh mera best friend hai...samjh rahi ho kuch?...tum karo amar ko call, par maine jo kuch abhi kaha hai, iske baaremein sochna...ookay?" (kaira nods)

Riya smiles at her, cupping kaira's cheeks in her hands

Kaira calls amar.

"call kiya tha?"

Amar was in the office, it was late in the night.

"haan...tum thi kahan pura din?"

"aey main.." kaira tries to say but amar interrupts "anyway...main London jaa raha hu, fashion show hai...next month wapas aaunga"

"aur?...umm...meri shadi?" kaira asks unsure when she hears that amar is going to London for a month.

"karan se hi kar rahi ho na shaadi? (she closes her eyes, and cringes, upset with amar's tone)...ya mujhse?...ek baar 'haan' toh bolo, abhi flight chodke aajaunga ('amar' she says, but amar interrupts ) kaira..mere wapas aane ke wajahse tumhara confusion start hua hai, and mere wajahse tum apne life ke decision change karti raho, yeh mujhe nahi chahiye, isliye main wapas London jaa raha hu, so that tum araamse, bina kisi pressure ke apna decision le sako...tumhara decision kuch bhi ho, phir bhi...I will always love you...and if you change your mind, toh 1 mahiney baad aana, mujhe airport pe receive karne...and nahi aayi toh bhi...mere liye tum wahi kaira rahogi...be happy...hmm?"

Amar talks to her, and then cuts the call.

Kaira keeps looking at her cellphone, and becomes sad.
