It didn't take forever for Louis to learn more about Mia. Their next meeting at the café lasted well beyond café hours. Mia talked about how she grew up on the island all her life, she told him stories of her late father and mother that Andres had told her, how she came to own the café. He loved watching her talk, the way she explained things like it was the greatest story ever being told, and he was the audience. Louis discussed his childhood on how he didn't know his family, he mainly grew up in foster homes. How he got a scholarship to study marine archeology, then moved to Puerto Rico where he met his friend Hector, then how he saved every bit of money to buy his boat, so he didn't have to rely on a crew to get him to his sites.

After about the fifth meet up at the café Louis asked her on a real date which she was very thrilled about. Louis went to one of the shops to purchase a better-looking shirt since he couldn't wear the same two shirts, he had been wearing that Mia gave him a little bit of gruff about.

Getting his boat ready with his new Mast at the ready, Mia showed up wearing a white silk dress with small straps exposing her shoulders. The dress had blue floral prints, the slit on the dress just barely exposing her left thigh. Louis smiled and offered his hand to her to hoist her up on his boat.

"You have been on a boat before, right?" he asked her in a curious tone.

"Not a night." she replied.

"I promise you it will be worth it." taking her hand in his, "but, if you do get scared, please let me know and I will bring us back."

Mia looked at his big hands holding her small ones, looking up to meet his face that read he was genuine, she couldn't help smiling at him. With that they sailed out. As Mia watched him, he turned to her clearing his throat.

"Mia? I do have to ask you for a favor though." he said with a worried tone.

"What's that?" she asked curiously.

"Please don't get creeped out when I ask.. Ok probably not the best way to start a sentence" he laughed nervously. Mia standing up a little straighter her now full attention on Louis who was struggling to ask his request. "But in order for the surprise to not be ruined when we get out there...I'm going to need to blindfold you."

Mia's face must have said something else to where Louis looked at her like he had just said the most offensive phrase ever. Seeing this she stepped up to him with a smile, she trusted him and wanted to make sure he knew that. Mia took the handkercheif from him and covered her eyes, turning away from him to where her back was to him, hinting to tie the handkercheif off. He did. As he finished he guided her to sit down while they sailed out.

After what felt like hours to Mia, Louis finally announced that they had arrived. He took his hands in hers, helping her to her feet and making their way to the center of the deck. As he untied the blindfold and removed it from Mia's covered eyes, before she could open them Louis asked her to keep her head down until he signaled her to look. Laughing at the strange request Mia obliged and looked to her feet.

After a few moments Louis came behind her wrapping his arms around her waist, Mia could see how small she was compared to him. His voice came to her ear, she could feel his warm breath creep down her neck, closing her eyes as she leaned her head back on his shoulder, Mia contempt with staying in this position instead. Louis took one of his hands to cover her eyes once again.

"Louis." she chuckled.

"Hey" he said in her ear, "I didn't give you permission to look yet."

Cocking her heard back in a laugh she felt him return his arm around her waist.
