Chapter 11: The truth

Faye's POV

I saw them rushing Yoko in her chamber, and as I count the doctors that enters the room, they were five doctors. I wanted to enter but then I stopped myself, for I have to face my father.

"I hope you're already happy, Khun Faye!" The crown princess told me, she is still crying.

I was full of guilt, but then I decided to drag my father in a royal room where I was the one who designed it. I locked the door and face him, "tell me, are you happy? This is what I get from marrying a sick royal family!" I was mad, that I was raising my voice against him, but he just stood there and wanting me to calm down.

"Daughter, they might hear you."

"I don't care, dad!"

"Okay okay, just keep your voice low... What do you want me to do?" He asked me, "I want a divorce, and to know the truth behind the reason why you let me married a 22 year-old girl who I hated."

He sighed, then he loosen his necktie.

"Okay... The truth is, something happened in the business of prince Chao, their cruise ship suddenly sank down in the middle of the sea and we aren't able to find bodies, even the cruise ship itself."

I was taken aback hearing that, and was curious why it's related to me and Yoko.

"And?"

"The people was so angry, their families were in that ship, including the crews who served that cruise ship. Activist, some terrorists and other people begun to attack some places, corrupt others and begun to mock the royal family and the Thai Government. The Chinese Empire was furious that they gave the Thai royal family a chance to clean the mess."

Knowing that, I was very confused, "what?"

"Ms. Yoko was one of the CEO of the company, I am a co-founder while her father, Duke Chao was the founder. Ms. Yoko doesn't really know anything about this, she doesn't know that she was just the cover up. She doesn't even know that it was her name that signed the contract to keep the cruise ship incident case shut. To avoid any anger or any other consequences, we found out that people admired you and Yoko as a couple on social media."

"You guys had over a millions of views, and we thought that it would help us burried the case down in the grave." He said, and hearing his confession, I was shocked.

"You also used me as a cover up?!"

"Daughter, please.... Just for now, after we found the boat, you guys can have a divorce. There's a high chance anyway that duke Yu will be in prison for signing the contract."

I step backward, "are you a monster? How can you frame her?!"

"Because if I don't, it will be the end for us!" He said, his voice is shaking and trembling. I didn't knew that he really did this.

"But I don't know, Yoko has still a chance not to get in prison if police found out that she never signed any contract or what—"

"Father, you know I will never forgive you for this! I may let this slide, but I will never forgive you for doing this. Wasn't this enough? A humiliation for me???!" I was very angry, then I slammed my hand in the table near us.

"How can you guys be so foolish for framing an innocent girl?! You should be ashamed of yourself!"

He suddenly knelt in front of me, "daughter please, I'm sorry!"

"Tell me, how did that cruise ship get to its tragic end?" I somehow calm down, I can feel it in my breathe.

"Based on the statement of the survivor, which was the criminal—"

"What? The criminal survived?" I cut him, and he nodded.

"He survived but then the police found him and he turned himself in. He said that a businesswoman wants to kill the upperclassmen who was riding that cruise ship, and because of that, the police thought that it was lady Yoko." He said, and I really felt irritated hearing Yoko's name.

"You must be out of your mind!!"

"No, we're not kidding. Some police conclusions, Yoko would plan killing the royal family by thinking they would ride that cruise ship."

"Fuck! Stop it dad!! You're being too ridiculous!! Leave that kid alone, I'll investigate myself!" I said, and he shook his head.

"You're putting your life in danger!"

"I may hate Yoko, but I won't let you guys just frame her up and put her in jail... You guys— We!! We have already given her too much burden to carry!!" I said, and I indeed felt guilty to myself that Yoko took the punishment for me.

If the people appeals to have the rights to vote, there is a possibility that the people might choose for Yoko to be beheaded publicly.

Stupid Chinese tradition!! This is Thailand and not some damn Chinese country, gosh!!!"
