Unwritten

(Part 13): "Valuable Family Members"

I opened my eyes, looking at Rosen; sleeping peacefully. I rub my hands on his chest, examining his features on his face. Everything was so perfectly defined. I kissed his cheek, and his eyes opened.

"There you are." He chuckled, holding me tightly against him.

I giggled, "We have to get up."

He nodded his head, and we both got up. I made my way over to the shower; turning it on. I shortly got into the shower. I stood in there for a little, feeling the water beat down my back; finally snapping out of it and getting myself washed up.

"Lissi! Hurry up we have to go!" Rosen yells after me.

I got out of the shower, drying my hair then getting dressed. I wore some pants, a plain t-shirt, with my coat and white converse. I looked at the time.

12:07 P.M.

We're going to be so late. I ran to the elevator as it was almost closing; just making it in. We got into a big SUV with Julia and Alex meeting up with us. Julia and I exchanged a hug, and Alex a handshake. Rosen pulled out of the garage, driving onto the freeway.

"Are you nervous, Lissi?" Alex asks me,

"I'm going to shít myself." I mutter. 

Rosen pulled out a cigarette, lighting it, taking his puffs.

"Don't be nervous. It's just Julia, Alex, my dad, my little brother and sister." Rosen assures me.

I sighed in relief. I looked at my dirty converse from all the running I use to do from my old days. I started to bite my lip nervously. 

Do I hug his father?

Do I give him a handshake?

The questions started running through my mind like an endless treadmill never stopping. We arrive at a big house, wondering where they get there money from. Rosen pulls up to the house, parking the car.

"We're here." He looked over at me, reaching for my hand, "It'll be ok, I promise." He kisses my hand, rubbing my hand with his thumb softly.

I nodded my head, and he smiles at me. We get out of the car just behind Julia and Alex, grabbing our bags. I walk into the house with Rosen at my side, as a puppy ran out of no where greeting me unexpectedly.

"Awe! It's so cute!" I looked at the puppy adoringly.

"Rosen, Julia?" A man shouts.

"Dad we're at the front door!" Julia yells back.

I start to panic with my eyes getting wide; remembering me; meeting Carter's parents. His dad who looked like a replica of Rosen approached Julia and Alex. He gave Alex a hug, and Julia a kiss on the forehead.

"Nice to see you again, Alex." Mr. McCain laughs.

Alex gives Mr. McCain a big smile. Then he walks up to Rosen and I, I started to bite my lip nervously. He whispers into Rosen's ear quietly.

"No, dad, she's different." Rosen says to his father, "Dad, this is Lissi, my girlfriend."

His father's jaw just drops. He stood there in shock.

"Lissi, this is my dad." Rosen told me. Mr. McCains eyes lit up at my name.

"Pleasure to meet you Mr. McCain." I say to him, with a bright smile.

"You can call me Mason, Lissi." He smiles back at me.

He sat me down with Rosen at the couch very quickly.
