Chapter 28

Logan's pov

I sat in my hotel room, well, mine and Shawn's. Shawn was apartment searching for a place here. I didn't feel like going, which left me in the hotel.

Someone knocked on the door. I walked over and opened thedoor, not listening to what Shawn had to say about checking who was at the door and don't just open it.

"Hey Lucas." I said and he came in.

He pulled out an index card as I closed the door and began to read off of it. I rolled my eyes.

"It has been a long-" he started.

I grabbed the card and tore it in half.

"Cut it out." I Rolled my eyes.

"Well then."

"Riley and Maya told me about your little "speech" to them." I said and he sighed.

"I don't know what to say."

"Just talk to me, that's all you have to do." I said and he sighed.

"I'm confused." he admitted and sat down on the couch.

"I am too." I said and sat down next to him.

"We started off great, you trusted me, you opened up to me." he said.

"You were the only one I was comfortable with." I told him and he nodded.

"And I was happy with that." he smiled and I smiled back.

"When did this go wrong?" I asked and he sighed, then shook his head.

"I don't know."

"We built a bench today, we talked, we left a legacy." I stood up and faced him. "We were fine, but now this happened."

"I know." he sighed.

"Maybe we're just better off as friends."

He stood up, "Log-"

"Lucas, we can't do this. It'll ruin everything." I said.

He sighed and nodded, "Friends?"

I held back my tears, "Friends." I choked out.

He nodded and left. I closed the door and felt tears fall down my cheeks. I sat down on the couch and buried my face in my hands.

It was so much easier when I was seven.

"Hey kid." Shawn came over me as I looked out at the sky.

Graduation finished.

Middle school is over.

Nothing is solved.

"Hey." I sighed.

"What's wrong?"

"I told Lucas that we're better off friends. But It;s not working, it made it more awkward." I explained.

"Are you guys meant to be friends?" he asked.

I don't know. Are we?" I asked.

"Let your heart decide that." he told me and I nodded.

"I will, thanks Shawn." I smiled.

"Anytime kid, I'm gonna go out and get some food." he said.

"Bring me back something?" I asked.

"I will." he smiled.

He left and I kept looking off the hotel balcony. Then I felt the presence of someone. I looked to my right and saw Lucas.

"Still like them?" I asked.

"Yeah. he nodded. "And you."

I looked up, "Luc-"

"Still like me?" he asked.

I stared at him shocked, then did something I never imagined I would do. I cupped his cheeks and kissed him, then broke the kiss, "Yeah.

He smiled then I heard something drop. I looked over and saw a bouquet of flowers on the ground.

"Farkle." I said shocked.

A/N: I finally updated! I am so sorry I haven't updated! I have been so busy with lacrosse and all. But lacrosse is now over! And soon travel will start! But school ends in a week!

But that chapter though! Shocking? Especially the ending! I didn't really want to write the whole legacy chapter because nothing was solved in that.
