POV Matthew

"Master how was your run?" the waiter asked rubbing my arm.

I pushed her away. "Get your dirty little hands off me," I spat at her.

"Oh I'm sorry," she said and I saw the hurt in her eyes.

"Where's my father?" I asked my best friend who is also my right hand man.

"He's in his room. What's wrong man?" he asked.

"I found my mate," I said as I walked past him.

"And why is that so bad?" he asked.

"Because when I found her I let my wolf take control and he tried to mate with her and she got scared and ran away from me," I sighed pulling at my hair.

"Wow that sucks," he said. "Do you know where she is?" he asked.

"If I did I would be with her right now," I said pissed now.

"Well bring everyone here and find her," he said.

I stopped walking and turned to look at him. I felt so stupid for not thinking of that.

I saw someone walking down the hall way and I stopped them and told them to go tell people now. The man did as told.

"Well I'm throwing a ball to night," I said clapping my hands together.

"Dude get out of that whole old time thing this is 2017 boy and you better start treating it like that." I laughed at him. "It's a dance air head." We both laughed then and I slapped him on the back.

"Come on let's go tell people to start getting ready."

POV Cinder

I heard a squeal as I finished dinner.

"He's having a dance to find the one," Kate squealed as she held the paper up she'd found.

"I'll probably be his mate sense I'd be the perfect Luna to all the packs," Jen giggled dancing very poorly around the living room.

"What if it's Cinder," Kate laughed while spitting.

I wanted to gag at her.

"I can promise he's not my mate," I told them.

"And why is that?" Mar asked as she walked in.

"Because I'm just not," I said thinking of how I ran from my mate. I longed to see him but. Maybe he'd be at the dance. "Could I go to the dance though?" I asked.

"You the runt of the family embarrassing us?" she asked them laughed.

"I only want to find someone," I said.

"And what might that be?" she asked.

"A friend," I said lowering my head.

"What friends?" my step sisters laughed.

"I meant a friend and I want to see him tonight," I said.

"Him?" Mar asked.

"Yes him," I said looking hard at the dinner I made.

"Then no," she said.

"But everyone is supposed to go," I said.

"You have to much work to do and not enough time to do it," she said.

"I've cleaned the whole house spotless," I said.

"You have school work to do for the girls don't you?" she asked.

"They can do their own work," I said.

"No they can not," Mar gasped.

"Yeah like come on," Kate laughed.

"You aren't going and that's final," Mar yelled slamming the kitchen door shut.

I wanted to see my mate again but she was stopping me. I leaned against the counter and cried.
