"Oh no! You're not telling me that you let Raymond pick the music? The whole car ride?"

She looked between us, incredulity evident in her bright, blue eyes.

"I didn't have any other choice! He overpowered me."

I quickly defended myself, causing her to shoot Raymond a glare that clearly showed she wasn't impressed.

"I did not! I just grabbed the cord from you when we got into the car. And besides, it's not like you are some helpless child who can't defend yourself."

He leaned over the back of her chair that he was kneeling behind, and whispered loud enough for us all to hear.

"Don't let him fool you, he is really scary when he's angry."

"I testify to that." Thomas chimed in from his seat next to me.

"Well I would get scary if I had to listen to your choice of music for hours. What did you make them listen to? Taylor Swift?"

"Geez, Eva! I haven't liked her for years!"

"But you admit that you like her?"

I couldn't help but ask. I mean, I just couldn't imagine Raymond listening to "Shake It Off".

"Of course I did! I'm secure enough in my masculinity to admit that."

I had to hand it to him, but many men could freely admit that.

"But now I like Selena Gomez instead."

He grinned, and Eva turned around to look at him fully.

"Are you serious? That's what you three listened to on your way here?"

Raymond nodded emphatically, and she burst out laughing. I have to admit, the imagery was pretty hilarious.

I couldn't help but notice the way Raymond looked at her when she laughed. Damn, if I could just get Thomas to look at me like that, I'd want nothing more.

"And don't tell anyone, but Thomas was totally mouthing the words on some of those songs."

Before Thomas had a chance to defend himself, there was a light tap on the door, and it swung open, revealing the smiling face of Jordan.

"He did it! I don't know how the hell he did it, but behold the conquering hero!"

He held out his hands to whoever was waiting just outside the door, and I could hear the sound of Elliot's laugh.

"Shut up." He muttered, and walked in after Jordan.

I don't think he noticed the rest of us right away, because he walked over to an armchair a few feet away from Eva, and plopped down on it.

"But seriously, Elliot, how did you do it?"

Eva asked, trying to get him to move his hands away from his face so he could notice us.

"Yeah, Elliot, tell us."

Elliot jumped at the sounds of Raymond's voice, and looked around the room in surprised wonder.

"When did you guys get here?"

He was so genuinely surprised and happy, that I could see tears in his eyes.

"Just a little bit ago."

Raymond stood up and walked over to Elliot, who had stood up as well. He pulled him into a hug, and Elliot hugged him back, a massive smile on his face.
