Never Get Caught

I close my eyes for a bit, hoping Rafe won't notice. I'm so tired, I mean, I did wake up kinda early this morning.

I just hope I don't actually end up falling asleep...

"Babe..Babe?"

"Huh?" I say, in a sleepy voice, "wait where am I?"

I finally open my eyes, and realize what's going on. I feel like I slept for hours, and I didn't even know I fell asleep.

"You're in my room sleepy head. I think everyone's asleep now, if you want to go to the hot tub." He says, kissing my cheek.

"Shit, I'm sorry, I didn't even realize I went to sleep. I didn't mean to." I say sitting up.

"It's okay." He says

I stand up and find the bag with all my clothes in it, and pull out my yellow bikini, and look back at Rafe.

"While you were asleep, I looked up some of Rose's houses, and one of them has a pool, so do you just want to go there and skip the hot tub?"

"That's cool with me!" I say.

I go into the bathroom and start to change into my bathing suit. I throw Rafe's hoodie back on and put my hair into a messy pony.

I hear footsteps walking down to the bathroom.

I hope it's just Rafe...

I start to turn the door knob and feel someone turning it on the other side.

The door opens to Sarah, with a confused face on.

"Hey Alanna, what are you doing here?" She asks, then her eyes brighten, and she starts to laugh, "Oh my god I know what's happening, Ill let you guys get back to it!"

"No, that's not happening right now actually, I was just leaving." I say.

"Did he make you upset or something?" She asks, "You look a little discouraged."

"No, I'm okay, he didn't do anything, my head hurts is all." I say, trying to make up an excuse. I don't know if Sarah would tell her dad or something where were going if I told her.

"Okay, well if you need to talk about anything, you can talk to me, let me add you on snap." She says, pulling her phone out, "How are you getting home?"

"Of course!" I say, pulling my phone out of the hoodie pocket. I open my snap and let her scan my code, "John B said he'd pick me up from the end of the drive."

"Alright I got you, I hope your 'head' feels better." She says, doing air quotes.

"Thanks." I say, walking out of the bathroom, "and hey, I dont know if your dad would've wanted me here this late, and I don't want him to hate me already, so could you not say anything? I'll owe you one."

"I wouldn't do that to you." She says smiling.

I walk back into Rafe's room, and he looks wide eyed.

"What took so long?" He asks.

"Sarah, she was talking to me, I didn't tell her anything just in case."

"Good, she has the biggest mouth." He says, "You ready to go?"

"Yeah, I like your trunk choice." I say smiling, looking at his American flag trunks.

"I gotta show them off." He says, "I invited a few people, and they're bringing beer."

"Yes!!" I say, "So we're having a little house party?"

"Yep, I hope that's okay with you." He says

"Of course it is!" I say, grabbing my things.

"Alright, let's go." He says, opening his window, "We just have to sneak past everyone, I don't want Rose finding out."
