Edward Wallace was sitting in his office finishing the last bit of paperwork until he got a call from his secretary Laura.
"Mr Wallace, You got a call from XCARE HOSPITAL"
"From hospital?, Connect it to me" He replied confused, not knowing what to expect.
"Hello, Edward Wallace speaking"
"Hi Mr Wallace, This is from XCARE HOSPITAL, We have a patient admitted in our hospital a week ago, Someone informed us that you are related to him"
"A week ago? Can I have the patient name" he asked confused
"Sir, He is booked under the name Adriel,the boy is about 16-17years old with major head injury, no other information is currently available about the patient" The person on the other side replied politely.
"I think, you might have mistaken me for someone else"
"No sir, the person clearly mentioned about you, Edward Wallace, CEO of Wallace enterprises, he stated that you are blood related to the patient. We can run a DNA test for confirmation, if it's okay with you " The person stated
"I will contact you within a 5 minutes" Edward spoke before ending the call.
Edward then called his secretary to collect the details about the boy.
He was patiently waiting, he had certain doubts in his mind regarding this boy.
Is it him!
But, It's not possible
That's when his secretary came to his room with a confused expression on her face.
" Sir other than what you told , no other information about this patient is available, I doubt that he is not from this country" she spoke
"Okay, I am heading out, call me if there's anything urgent" He spoke before heading out of his room.
Edward was sitting in his car deep in thought,
"Sir?" Driver asked
"To XCARE hospital" Edward replied
He just want to confirm his suspicion, the mail he received two days ago and this, something seems fishy.
"I got a call from here, regarding a patient called Adriel"
"Mr Wallace?" The receptionist asked, her eyes wide at the sight of the most powerful man in the country.
She herself immediately led him to the patient, who's in ICU.
INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
The moment his glance fell on the boy laying in the bed, with head bandaged and oxygen mask on his mouth.
An odd feeling rushed through him.
"Mr Wallace, when he was brought here, he was in a very critical condition but now he is stable, we can only tell further about his condition once he wake up" The doctor informed
"When will he wake up" Edward asked, not taking his eyes from the fragile boy
"We have no idea sir, he is reacting positively to the treatment, may be in few days" Doctor replied in his usual professional manner.
Edward just nodded his head,
"Mr Wallace, Do you know him?" Doctor asked
"I suppose so, I have my own suspicion right now"
"The person who gave your details informed that you are blood related to him,so we can have a DNA checkup before proceeding further, if that's okay with you?" The doctor asked
"Yeah sure"
Edward wanted a proof regarding his suspicion, which he got few days later.
"Sir, we got the DNA results, it states that you are related to him, May be he's your cousin or a close relative or brother" The doctor confirmed his suspicion
