"ANNABETH!" PERCY'S VOICE rang out, being the first voice that Angel could hear clearly once more as Percy continued, "You have to let us save her!"
Angel gritted his teeth, biting his lip harshly almost tasting the blood as he felt himself start to shake as he tried holding it back. He couldn't let himself fall apart, not here, not now, not in front of this many people. He couldn't let himself cry, it'd be selfish of him.
The auburn-haired girl turned towards Percy. "I'm sorry, Percy Jackson, but your friend is beyond help."
Hearing those words fall from the unknown girls lips only felt like a stab to the gut to Angel. It made it harder for him to force back the tears he knew were coming, he gulped as he moved his hand, pulling the arrow out of his shirt that was pinning him to the ground. He breathed out as everything started coming back to him and he was hyper aware of the feeling of the snow melting into his clothes as he pushed himself into a sitting position, his hands gripping as the grass below the snow.
"You are in no condition to be hurling yourself off cliffs," the auburn-haired girl said.
"Let me go!" Percy demanded from behind him. "Who do you think you are?"
