IT HAD BEEN nearly thirty-six hours since the four of them arrived in Portugal. Angel had slept through almost thirty of those hours, so it was quite disorienting for him to wake up to the sight of Coach Hedge belting out songs to an encircling crowd. It was clear that Coach's musical abilities were limited to playing the pipes.

After wandering around and finding some pain pills for his worsening migraine, along with ear plugs, Angel surprisingly found the show quite entertaining. He enjoyed his breakfast after ensuring Reyna went to sleep, confident in his ability to keep watch. Over the next six hours, Angel indulged in joining Hedge's performances. Although he wasn't exactly proud of it, he genuinely had a great deal of fun.

They did a lot of singing, something that while Angel knew he sucked at and he knew he was harming the eardrums of everyone within a mile radius of him, he still had a blast as he sung his heart out at the top of his lungs and still managed to gain money. Granted the people who didn't tip him, he did admittedly look through the pockets off and took whatever he knew they wouldn't miss.

Angel kept that detail to himself as he and Hedge turned their endeavor into a competition to see who could earn more from the public. It was clear that Angel emerged victorious, not just through 'generous donations from the oblivious' but also due to his own skills. Angel thrived in entertaining a crowd, a craft he was raised in. He had a way with children, could easily banter with parents, and mastered the perfect acts to captivate an audience. His advantage was further amplified by his attractiveness compared to Coach Hedge, which certainly gave him an edge.
