Today was the last day that me and Hunter would be staying at the cottege, for, tomorrow we would shifting to the pack house, so that I could form bonds with the rest of the pack and earn their trust.
I had just woken up and was about to leave the bed when Hunter walked in with a tray
"Good morning love, took the liberty to prepare French toast and black coffee for us go have... Breakfast in the bed? " He said
I smiled... Mhmmm everything smelt good... And coffee was walking towards me... I mean Hunter was bringing it to me and I didn't need to move!
"Gimme my coffee" I said stretching my arm to grab the coffee
"I'm wounded I thought that the love of my life would love me more than coffee" Hunter said, faking his hurt
"Coffee over mates any day" I murmerred as I grabbed my coffee and tooo a sip and moaned. He sat down in front of me and stared at me as I gonnled down the yummy French toast
"You sure were hungry" He said
"Well I am sure you're hungry as well... So I suggest you to eat.... Although I won't be offering you have to grab your own toast" I said and took a huge bite from the toast I was holding and from the corner of my eye I saw Hunter shake his head smiling as he grabbed his own toast
"Hunter what's the name of your wolf... I mean I have been calling him wolfie... Is that his name? " I asked as I crossed my legs
"Wolfie is not the name of my wolf, his name is Xavier" He said
"Oh.how do you and xavier work... I mean how does the wolf and human thing work... Uh do you understand the question.. I can't frame it" I said frustrated
"Haha, yes love I understood the question, we just coexist with each other, xavier was the first to realize you were his mate and since you are his mate, you're mine as well" He said
"So basically for me it's gonna be like having two different boyfriends" I said
"Xavier and I are very similar" He said
"Uh I beg to differ alpha, wolfie you see is a bit more cuter" I said
"Is it so... I am not sure you will be saying so when he meet Casper" He said and as on cue casper walked in and settle between us
"Good.morning casper.... Had a good night sleep" I asked petting her. Meow! She purred I looked up and saw Hunter was in his wolf form, technically I was with Xavier now.
"Good morning Xavier. This is casper" I said petting him. He walked up to me and sunk his head on me right lap while casper curled in my left. Both of them kept kicking me in a hope to gain attention from me. I smiled
"Oh wolfie jealous are we" I asked and he growled
"Don't worry your my favourite wolf" I said and he licked me. Casper meowed loudly and I looked at her
"And your my favourite cat" I said and sbe purred happily
"Okay now... You and Xavier become friends while I freshen up" I said as I got up and stretched.
I was just about to close the door wheni noticed Xavier and casper sitting outside
"No... You two are not invites to join me... Both of you bond with each other and don't fight " I said and bears them whinning as I sunk into the warm water.

Half an hour later I walked out and saw xavier and casper curled up next to each other and when they saw me they immediately perked up and trotted over to me. I guess today xavier was going to spend time with me instead of xavier. Not that i hated the idea, he was also cite but how am I supposed to talk to him... I mean surely he was going to be able to hear me but how on earth was I supposed to know what he wanted me to do?
"Hey we can mind link..." Said a voice in my head
"Was that you wolfie? " I asked curious
"Yes my love, it was your wolfie who spoke to you" He said
"How did you do that.... I am human" I said confused
"Darling, it was the mate bond. Once a wolf finds their mate and they complete their mating process, the wolf and their mate can mindlink each other" He said
" How do I mind link you? "I asked
" Easy love, just think of me while you let your thoughts flow through your head" He said. I tried
"I love you xavier just as much as I love Hunter" I said
"I love you too darling, though I am jealous that Hunter has to share the love as well but I guess we do come exist.if he doesn't treat you right tell me, I'll knock some sense into him" He said and I laughed
"That won't be necessary, wolfie, Hunter take great care of me" I said and he nodded
"What if I were a wolf... How would this stuff work" I asked
"Well if you were a wolf then your wolf and I would have been close while you and hunter would have been close, meaning each of us would be with one lover but a guardian angel as an advantage because if anything happens to either of you then both of us suffer" He said
"So basically me not being a wolf has denied you of a proper mate" I said sadly
He trotted over to me and angked himself such that his eyes met mine
"Nope, it just means that you get showered with a lot of love and we get showered with a lot of human love and care sweetheart..... You're our mate... And we don't mind.... Anyways this makes is even more unique since it's only once in a blue moon that a wolf gets a human mate... Which means I one lucky wolf... Or is it wolfie you call me... No offence I love that name.... But I do hole you know my name is Xavier" He said and I smiled
"Finally a smile from the queen of my heart" He said licking me. I giggled while letting my hands slip in his fur
"You have magic hands love, please do that stop" He said
"Are you also possessive of your mate.. I have read in a ook somewhere thay male wolves are hell possesive of their mates" I said still playing with his fur and he purred. Casper my cat was long forgotten.
"I am. But I swear I will try to keep it in control... I'll give you freedom as well.... I'll try not to get jealous that you and Ethan have become good friends... rather best friends" He said
"I know. What is Ethan's wolf name? " I asked
"Lucus... You met him before" He said
"When I don't remember" I said suddenly stopping my hands in his fur and detangling it from them
"Don't stop massaging my fur love please" He said and I nodded
"Love, you met lucus in the forest that day, the first time when you decided that you weren't going to kill the wolf in front of you, the injured golden wolf you protected" He said
I remember that day, I was strolling in the woods and had come across a whinni g wolf, golden brown in colour with blue eyes, it was being attacked by 4 big bad wolfs, something possessed me I killed all the other dogs, but when I turned to him and tried to stab him, one look in his eyes and I stopped. I took out my scarf and wrapped it around the wolfs injured leg and left. I don't know why but I couldn't kill him, I never understood why
"Honey, it was because you felt the aura of family with him, way before you even met me, you could sense which wolves were family and which weren't, so everytime you came near one of the packs wolves, you couldn't bring yourself to kill them, you may have killed a few of them but inky the ones who were betraying the pack" He said
"But that doesn't change the fact that I killed wolves and I was a wolf hunter, someone you had to fear, your pack jas every right to fear me, I lost their trust way before I became luna and now I regret that, now, yours and Hunter's alpha position is in danger, because of me, your mate. Even when I was giving you all a chance, I ruined it by stealing the silver dagger and hiding it. Now you will be paying the price, even though you have no fault in this. Why don't you just kill me and let your alpha position be safe.... Your pack will stay United and it will be easier" I said tearing up.
"It's not your fault love, it was those rogues fault who turned you so cold hearted. Even in you weakest moments when you saw your family die that day, you remained strong, you avenged their deaths. If anyone is to be blamed it is fate and as for that I don't blame it after fate brought me to you. I may be alpha but I am more in love with you, I'll leave the alpha position in a heartbeat if it means I have you for eternity. Killing you would be killing me, and I don't want that, darling I know your scared about tomorrow but remember I'll be their with you at each step of life including tomorrow, when you will give the speech to try and get the pack on your side... Which I know you will, I'll stay next to you, your not alone. I their ethan, hunter, rosyln, lucus, nathan and his mate, we all are their for you. Hell even half of the pack is on your side sweetheart. The other half is sceptical but once they find out that you're not killing us and actually have accepted us then they will be beyond happy. Even they know that having a human mate is a miracle because only lucky and blessed packs have a human as their luna" He said curling his body around me, trying to hug me.
I nodded and wiped my tears. He was right... I had to earn the packs trust, for his sake, for my sake and for everyones sake. I will fight and I will succeed. He trsited me so.uch and I had to live upto his trust everyday... I am going to fight. I had 3 days before the crowning ceremony and before that I had to show them that I was on their side this time.
