Chapter 20: Intertwined Trees

"Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will." - Mahatma Gandhi

Forever Fall Forest, a beautiful red tinted forest as if it was the Autumn Season all day everyday. A Forest filled with large trees, ruins from a by gone era, interesting rock formations, but worst of all.

RAAAAAGH!!!

It was a Forest filled with Grimm. A beast many of the Eliksni runaways were very aware of.

A Dusk Fallen Vandal was rushing through the brush, he looks behind him and speaking in Eliksni he tells that the area is clear and runs ahead.

With other Fallen runaways ranging from Vandals, Dregs, Fallen Mothers and Children, as well as a single Elder Captain watching the group's backs, making sure no other Grimm were following.

He already lost his Shrapnel Launcher due to fighting the Fallen Grimm, only resorting to his Shock Blades as a last defense, but since it meant protecting what is left of the House of Grimm...he would die trying.

The group of Fallen were rushing past branches, shrubs, and trees with no way out. The Grimm Fallen were relentless the Captain thought. If they kept this up all day eventually they would be captured. The children, the warriors to a fate worse then death, the Mothers, a supply of soldiers.

The Elder Captain couldn't let it happen, not while he was alive, but he was scared, it didn't show on the outside but...he was genuinely scared. With no help in sight, with there never ending stamina, The Grimm Fallen will catch up.

The Elder Captain prayed to any god listening, To help him, help him and the last of his people under his protection, to save them.

And as if his prayers were answered a loud airship sped passed all of the Fallen group, quickly and close to the ground, everyone stopped and looked to the Captain for anything.

"Quickly! Go to the ship! They'll help us! They have to!"

The Vandal scout nodded and rushed to the direction of the ship, everyone following. While the Elder stood back a bit, and looked to the sky. "...Thank you..." Was all that he said and followed the Fallen Runaways.

RAAAAGGHHH!!!

A bunch of Fallen Grimm, roaring not far behind.

Forever Fall Forest, a mountainous area with many sets of cliffs and a forest of red-leafed trees, allowing the whole area to appear as a dust-red color, even with the grass.

Students of Glynda Goodwitch's combat class are taken to a field trip to this almost wondrous place.

"Yes Students, the Forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight see." Glynda says, leading everybody into the Forest.

Teams RWBY, JNPR, and CRDL are guided behind her. Surprisingly enough Surveyor was allowed to come on this trip, with Ruby convincing Glynda that he was a weapon.

As Ruby gazed in awe at the area around her, instinctively trying to scan the Forest, Surveyor was doing the same with better results.

"Forever Fall Forest...Red." Ruby hears.

"Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure that none of you die while doing so."

Jaune who was at the back of the group suddenly runs into Cardin while holding a box full of jars by accident, trying to play it off Jaune whistles as Cardin glared at him.
