Chapter 33: Familial Memories

"I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples." — Mother Teresa

Weiss Schnee stares at the clock as she sits down in Professor Port's Classroom. While the Professor himself continues on his long winded lectures.

"If none of what he said was on the test, I don't think I'd be listening through this." She thought seeing the clock flash "3:59" over and over.

Hoping and waiting so that she and her team could continue with their plan, but her thoughts would end shortly as Jaune Arc slid next to her asking a couple questions.

"Hey, Weiss!" She hears him, continuing to ignore.

You know, uh, I-I was thinking after this, maybe "we could go grab a bite to eat?" As he spoke she knew exactly how to answer.

"And, uh um, I-I've got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie, if you wanna make the trip to Vale. I hear it's awesome." Weiss had an answer to that question as well but she didn't say.

"Aaaand maybe after that, we could study together? I mean, you're smart and I'm, uh...you know?" Weiss was determined to ignore him but agreed with him on that last question, silently of course.

To her it seemed like forever when the clock finally went off, leering out a loud beep throughout the classes and on her terminal as it changed from 3:59 to 4:00, dismissing it with a wave of her hand.

"And then I- O-Oh..." Professor Port stops in his story telling as he hears the bell go off, straightening his posture he gives a few words. "Timed that one wrong, I guess. Well, the stunning conclusion to this story will have to wait. Until next time!" He said as his students walked out.

"Weiss? Did you hear me?" Jaune said, hoping for an answer as he watched her leave.

"No, no, no, yes." She replied, not willing to even look at him. Jaune groans as he buries his face unto the desk. When the rest of RWBY walks by, Yang is the only one to tap his shoulder as they leave.

"One day." He hears her say, leaving Jaune.

When Team RWBY returned to their door room they had readied up with a new set of clothes. Preparing their weapons until finally Ruby could be seen looking around the room again.

"Still can't find your notebook?" Yang asked.

"Ugh! No...I can't seem to find it anywhere."

Weiss rolls her eyes. "Like I said yesterday, you've probably left it in the library and it's in the lost and found! You can get it next time we head over."

"But it's really important Weiss! Fallen Kell business important." Ruby argued. "Then you've should've taken care of it better.

Blake rolls her eyes, "Guys, can we do this later? We have to start our investigation."

"Oh! Right. Okay!"

"I'm glad we're taking this SO seriously." Weiss sarcastically said.

"Hey, we've got a plan!" Yang defended "That's...moderately serious." Causing the heiress to shake her head at.

"Everyone remember your roles?" Ruby said switching to her leader voice.

"You and I will head to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies or inconsistencies. Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem." Weiss explained.
