Isha felt herself going weak, hearing her mom, even her dad was looking at her with scrutinising eyes. She lowered her gaze fidgeting her cold fingers."Are you hearing me?what happened to your dress Isha?"her mom voiced out a bit loudly, making Isha tremble a little.
"Get up and sit in the front seat Ishana"was her dad's command. She meekly followed it and sat opposite to them still not meeting their heated gaze which is ready to burn her alive.
"Are you going to answer me or you want me to use my ways Isha?"her dad almost roared as if questioning an accused.Followed by that she started sobbing.Isha knows that her crying doesn't going to change anything,it will only going to worsen the situation. There fore she started narrating everything except the truth that it was Vikram who saved her from getting abused.
Her dad was controlling his anger and frustration by clenching his fists while her mom was trying reach her weeping daughter only to pull back by her furious husband who demanded her to sit again.
"What made you weep all of a sudden? You perfectly hid the whole disastrous thing and now trying seek sympathy like an innocent kid aren't you?"
"Please Naren, please stop. She might go e through a lot,Thankfully nothing happened to my daughter."her mom started her usual crying session.
"Oh is it?she can roam around the city or jungle, like nothing has happened, even after such incident. All along I raised you without letting even a fly to touch your skin, see what happened within a blink of an eye.Don't you have some common sense to test the drink before having it?After all you would have sat on the corner and watch everything silently, otherwise people would approach to help you.
That's why I tasted it to test dad.was her inner mind.
In the middle of the admonishing session Isha suddenly chuckled when hearing her mind voice. She tried hard to stifle the laughter followed by the giggle, only to get some glares and confused looks from her parents.
"Did you see?what is she up to.What am I talking and what is she doing?"A pissed off Naren asked his wife who was signalling her daughter with eyes to keep quite. But it didn't make any sense,as her daughter was covering her mouth with both her hands to suppress her laughter.
"Ma'am if you don't mind can you share the precious joke with us?"asked a frustrated dad with a tint of sarcasm playing in his voice.
Hearing her dad Isha tried to stop her giggles and said it in a go,as her silly laughter at the silly thought didn't let her stay silent anymore forgetting their scolds.
Her mom almost laughed hearing it.Isha slightly lifted her brow asking her mother how was it,and her eyes fell on her dad who turned away as if trying to hide his smile which seems form in the rigid face.He too gave up and laughed along.
Isha thought her mission to ease the tension and anger from her parents successfully completed. She heaved a sigh in relief. Her dad asked her to sit in between him and her mom.
Grinning like a bunny she got up and sat in between them. Both her parents twisted her each ears,to which she screamed a bit."Who was the guy?"asked Naren calmly. The smile on her face disappeared hearing her father as each words of Vikram reverberated through her ears. She looked at her dad blankly as if trying to say no idea of the guy.
"Don't you remember him or his face? Then how can you say so confidently that he saved you and didn't touch you with bad intension? He might be one of the gang and...."Isha cut her mom saying
"No ma,he..he didn't touch me with wrong intension,I know he didn't.."Isha voiced out in an attempt to defend Vikram.
"Then how can you say that you don't even remember his face?"was her dad's sudden question,Isha felt off guard. She had had enough, and soon a tear drop slipped down her eye,Isha lowered her gaze, wondering why her parents almost trying to defame Vikram unknowingly. It didn't go well with Isha. She wanted to tell them that it was Vikram only, but giving a thought to his assumption she chose to remain silent hearing her mom and dad.
