Lan Wangji and Wei wuxian was now in front of Zhao Yi Ran's room. Wei Wuxian knocked the door. After few minutes Zhao Yi Ran opened the door. He smiled when he saw Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.

" Hanguang Jun ! Yiling Patriarch ! " Zhao Yi Ran greeted while bowing.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji reciprocated the bow.

" So what brings you here ? " Zhao Yi Ran asked standing aside to give way to them to enter.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji walked inside.

" Just want to ask some questions ,Zhao gongzi. Afterall we are going to help each other in this case." Wei Wuxian said.

" Ok , I will answer whatever be possible." Zhao Yi Ran said glancing at Lan Wangji. Wei Wuxian was intently watching Zhao Yi Ran so the action didn't go unnoticed .

Lan Wangji wasn't looking at Zhao Yi Ran anymore.

" I want to ask what do you think about that energy fragment you showed us ? " Wei Wuxian asked.

Zhao Yi Ran smiled and with a swift moment he create a barrier on the walls . Wei Wuxian was stunned by action. He glanced at Lan Wangji who was really calm.

" What's it ? " Wei Wuxian asked sternly. But seems like the other person was unaffected of cold and stern attitudes.

" It's a barrier to prevent our voices to go out." Zhao Yi Ran said and giggled like a child.

Wei Wuxian had talismans for this purpose. He had seen someone for the first time doing this with spiritual energy and with such amount.

Wei Wuxian as curious being went to door and touched the barrier. He could see it . He touched it and feel the power in it.

" It's not harmful master Wei . You can pass through it. " Zhao Yi Ran explained.

" Such a fantastic technique. Is it from your clan ? " Wei Wuxian said admiring.

" Yes." Zhao Yi Ran said proudly.

" Your spritual energy has immense power. Your core must be very strong." Wei Wuxian said.

" Well you have shown us technique. I thought you wouldn't reveal anything about your sect."

" I trust you both." Zhao Yi Ran said looking straight at Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian turned and smile, Lan Wangji gained the trust.

" For your question Master Wei , I don't think it's a work of cultivator or human ." Zhao Yi Ran said.

Wei Wuxian became serious.

" What do you mean ,Zhao gongzi ?"

" I think it's a demon ."

Zhan raised his eyebrows. Ofcourse he knew about them. There were many and always troubled people but he didn't thought any of the existing demons were strong enough to cause such deed.

Zhao Yi Ran seemed to understand Wei Wuxian's thoughts. He spoke in calm tone ," They aren't the one that you are thinking, master Wei. ”

“ What do you mean ? ” Wei Wuxian asked.

“ These demons like dream demon .....umm... can say.... are like pets of real deals. ”

“ You may heard about such demons.”

Wei Wuxian didn't retorted. Yes, there were historical records for such beings but for centuries no one saw them. Many of them sealed or died by the hands of immortals.

People only remember some immortals and most of them were living in secret or already ascend . The most famous one was Baoshen Sanren , Wei Wuxian's grandmother , still in the world but don't know where .
