Chapter - 26

Hearing the shriek everyone got alert.

" What was that ? " Jin ling said.

" Don't drop your guard ? " Wei Wuxian warned.

" Strange ! " Zhao Yi Ran said.

Before anyone could ask , a big snake like creature came in front. It was all black like the sky on moonless night. It has white sparkling eyes like the bright full moon. It had body of snake but also had two legs in front.

" What's that ? " Lan Jingyi said.

" I don't know " Zhao Yi Ran said.

Zhao Yi Ran's sword start shining with green light and he started to attack on the creature while keeping his distance from creature. Lan Wangji summoned his guqin so did lan Shizui. Lan Jingyi also started to attack with his sword. Wei Wuxian started to play chenqing.

The creature also started to attack them. It furiously move it's flexible but strong tail to attack them. Lan Wangji forcefully pushed it back with it's guqin. Wei Wuxian was attacking on it with resentment.

The creature shrieked again when it was attacked by other party tremendously. Zhao Yi Ran used a different technique, he made his sword fly over his head and with a sign a lot of wooden needle like structure moved with fast pace towards the target with his sword. The creature got hurt . Wei Wuxian and others also attacked from all directions. This time lan Wangji used bichen . He made a double attack with it's sword and guqin.

Suddenly the creature got more furious, he used it's claws to attack. It was so Swift that others wasn't able to see it . It was directed towards Lan Shizui and before he could react the attack was done but instead of Shizui, Zhao Yi Ran took the attack.

Zhao Yi Ran didn't has time to do anything so he just uses it's own body as sheild.

Zhao Yi Ran's back got hurt and he stumbled on ground with Lan Shizui. Lan Shizui was surprised by sudden rescue.

" You shouldn't lower your gurads down." Zhao Yi Ran said, hissing.

He got up and made himself and Lan Shizui moved back, away from that creature.

Wei Wuxian and others didn't has time to ask about them because they had much big problem. Wei Wuxian now was in rage , his eyes were already red but it was now murderous. Lan Wangji used it's sword and it was glowing blue now.

Zhao Yi Ran walked in front again .

" I'm really pissed off now." Zhao Yi Ran said angrily.

He put his hand in ground and as soon as did lots of sharp wooden blocks came from ground and pierced the body of creature. At the same time, lan Wangji's sword cut his head and Wei Wuxian's resentment arrows stabbed it. The creature screamed in agony and turned in black substance like Ash on ground.

Lan Wangji put his hand on Wei Wuxian's shoulder to calm him down and it's work. They turned their attention to Zhao Yi Ran who was crouching on ground.

" Zhao gongzi, are you fine ? " Wei Wuxian said asked.

" Yes , master Wei ." Zhao Yi Ran said looking down.

Lan Wangji approached him and crouched down beside him, making others a little surprised.

" Calm down " lan Wangji said.

Zhao Yi Ran heaved a sigh and looked up smiling.

" Thank you, I'm calm." Zhao Yi Ran said.

He tried to get up but stumble. Lan Shizui who was behind him , supported him.
