Chapter - 43

In morning Lan Wangji saw Er Ming coming towards him.

" Are you ok  ? " Er Ming asked.

" Mn "

" Don't be so reckless . Your body is different. Even this remaining power left is causing you pain. So just don't use it." Er Ming said with concern.

Lan Wangji didn't spoke.

" I don't know why you still possess that much power? "Er Ming said but the it was clear with how much difficulty he uttered those words.

Lan Wangji still didn't say anything. Even if he won't use , the pain wouldn't reduce, he knew but he couldn't tell his friend. His body was like to none so founding the exact reason was difficult.

Er Ming sighed as his friend was so stubborn about not to speak his mind and express his emotions.

" Wang, I don't want to see it next time.” Er Ming said sternly but Lan Wangji neither deny nor agreed.

“ It's my first time seeing someone scolding Lan Zhan like this.” Wei Wuxian said looking at the jade and the phoenix Lord.

He got up early today and went out to find Lan Zhan when he heard Er Ming.

“ Last night, Hanguang Jun got injured. That's why....” Zhao Yi Ran who was standing beside Wei Wuxian said.

“ What did you say ? ” Wei Wuxian asked with wide eyes.

" Hanguang Jun got hurt. That's master told me.” Zhao Yi Ran said .

Wei Wuxian frowned and looked in front.

“ Lan Zhan , are you ok ? ” Wei Wuxian said taking few steps towards Lan Wangji and Er Ming.

Lan Wangji turned and saw Wei Wuxian walking towards him.

“ I'm fine.” Lan Wangji answered on which Er Ming seemed to scoffed lightly.

“ What happened last night ? ” Wei Wuxian asked.

Even though Wei Wuxian was a heavy sleeper but it only limited to places where he found himself safe . He could never sleep in time of chaos. So he was suspicious about last night incident.

Lan Wangji knew he had to explain as from Wei Wuxian's face he knew Zhao Yi Ran must had told him something as Er Ming already informed him about little dragon's curiosity and concern.

But before Lan Wangji could speak, Er Ming started to explain what happened last night except the part what Lan Wangji didn't with his heart scale but he surely complained how recklessly Lan Wangji behaved and got internal injury.

Wei Wuxian shot Lan Wangji glanced clearly not believing that he could be reckless.

“ Everything is ok " Lan Wangji said even though he understood Wei Wuxian's gaze.

“ So prince ...” Wei Wuxian said.

“ Let's go and check on him later.” Er Ming said.

Wei Wuxian nodded and then Er Ming left leaving the two alone.

“ Lan Zhan, why didn't you wake me up ? ” Wei Wuxian asked, feeling wronged.

“ I just saw Er Ming leaving . Didn't know where he was going.” Lan Wangji said.

“ Still..."

Lan Wangji didn't speak. He had intentionally put the barrier to keep Wei Wuxian away but he couldn't tell him the truth and reason behind of his action.

Seeing Lan Wangji, once again went in his silent mode where no matter who ask , he would never budge and open his mouth. Except sighing internally he couldn't do anything.
