Chapter - 47

“ It's gone.” Er Ming said.

Lan Wangji hummed. They were standing in front of another seal. This time there wasn't any imitation of the outer barrier.

“ Master , the forest is scared.” Yi Ran said. He had earth element so he was more sensitive to plants.

“ Are you uncomfortable ? ” Er Ming asked.

“ Not much but fear is lingering everywhere.”

“ Try to assure the forest with your energy.” Er Ming said.

“ Will it work ? ”

“ Try it .”

Yi Ran nodded. He turned into his dragon self. He closed his eyes and started emitting energy, full of vitality and life.

“ If the forest still has effect then it means the seal was broken recently.” Wei Wuxian said.

“ This one's ability is creating illusions.” Lan Wangji said.

Lord Shanyuan had given them a brief description about each demon and their abilities.

“ Right “

" What is actually Yi Ran doing ? " Wei Wuxian asked.

" Connecting with the forest and assuring it." Lan Wangji said.

" It's because he has earth element ?  "

" Yes , basically each beast can sensed and feel surrounding more but the dragons have more affinity towards their natural element." Er Ming explained.

Wei Wuxian nodded in understanding and glanced at Lan Wangji. He still didn't know what Lan Wangji's element as he never used anything like that.

After some time, the forest seemed to return to normal. Yi Ran transformed back.

“ It works.” Yi Ran cheerfully said.

“ Yi Ran, covered the area as much as you can .” Wei Wuxian said.

“ Ok , master Wei .” Zhao Yi Ran said and sat in Lotus position.

The green threads of spiritual energy surrounded Yi Ran.

After some time, Zhao Yi Ran opened his eyes.

“ All Clear .” Zhao Yi Ran said.

" No abnormal presence ? " Wei Wuxian confirmed.

Zhao Yi shook his head as he didn't find anything.

" I'll be back soon. " Lan Wangji said and flew away on his sword before anyone could even react.

" Where is he going ? " Wei Wuxian said frowning.

Both Er Ming and Yi Ran shrugged their shoulders.

Er Ming created a barrier around them to hide their presence.

" Master , I'm going to check the small village." Yi Ran said and he also sprint out.

Er Ming sighed. Wei Wuxian chuckled lightly.

" What should we do now ? " Wei Wuxian said while lying on the grassy bed.

" What can we do now ? Those two brats left without telling anything." Er Ming again sighed like a parent.

Wei Wuxian laughed.

" You know , you behaved like Lan Zhan's elder brother. I never heard anyone calling him 'brat'. He is always so calm and collected.  For others he is a role model." Wei Wuxian said smiling.

" He is not a brat. " Er Ming said.

" Well I also remembered him as always calm , accepting everything. "
