Chapter - 41

Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian heard a lot of gossips in market. After getting enough information they returned back .

" Where is Yi Ran ? " Wei Wuxian asked.

" Must be playing with his friends." Er Ming answered.

" I need to go , you two stay here." Er Ming said and he fly away.

Lan Wangji walked towards the room where they were staying. Wei Wuxian followed him without saying.

Inside the room , Lan Wangji removed his blindfold. He turned and saw Wei Wuxian staring at him. His lips twitch. He didn't need eyes to see the world but he need them to see his Wei Ying, to see his bright smile,  to see those sparkling grey eyes, to see his antics.

" Lan Zhan, were you uncomfortable ? "

" I'm ok "

" How is Wei Ying cultivation ? " Lan Wangji asked.

" The core is growing stronger much beyond my expectations." Wei Wuxian said.

" Cultivate here " Lan Wangji said.

" Aiyaa Lan Zhan, I'm tired. " Wei Wuxian whined and throw himself on bed.

Lan Wangji smiled. He summoned Wangji and started playing the song. Wei Wuxian's lips stretched in a beautiful smile. He closed his eyes.

Around mid night, Lan Wangji got up. He was in inner robes. He got out of bed and walked outside the room.

He sat in court yard, night's cold breeze caressed his jade face. He breathed heavily few times before turning to normal. He was in his inner layers only, unrestrained long black hairs falling like a Cascade on his back, few strands caressing his bare forehead and sharp jawline.

Lan Wangji closed his eyes.

" Feeling suffocate ? " Er Ming from behind said.

Lan Wangji didn't answered, neither looked back.

" Sword practicing ground." Lan Wangji said.

" At the back of house" Er Ming said and went inside again.

Lan Wangji got up and summoned his bichen and walked behind the house.

In morning, Lan Wangji woke up Wei Wuxian for meditation. After whining and pouting, Wei Wuxian finally sat for meditation. Lan Wangji passed him his spritual energy even after Wei Wuxian's protest. Now Wei Wuxian knew why he felt different with Lan Wangji's spritual energy.

After that they went to palace again to check the dead and as Er Ming said they weren't stopped.

Wei Wuxian saw prince inspecting the corpse. He cleared his throat to get the attention and as expected prince looked at them.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji bowed. The prince nodded.

" Her highness approved you two to inspect the corpse on my watch." The prince said.

Wei Wuxian nodded. They walked towards the corpse. The corpse was of a male dragon. To Wei Wuxian it was normal.

" When a dragon die , it come into dragon self, but he didn't." Prince said.

" Is there something weird about the surrounding, where you found him ? " Wei Wuxian asked. When he was in deep thoughts, Wei Wuxian forget about all the honorfics  .

Prince thought for a while before shaking his head.

Lan Wangji touched the corpse to feel anything weird inside the body.
