Chapter 23

It was now dark out. The men were here and settling in. She on the other hand was just locked away spinning around on a chair.

She jump up when she saw movements in the trees. Alot of movements. She zoom out and gasp.

She grab her blade and run to the hatch. She open it and ran out.

"Azulon we have company!"

"How many?"

"Alot. They are moving in groups."

"Come on men. We've train for this moment."

They fall into formation as clicking sound surround them. The walls were high but she don't know if they are high enough to keep them out.

It happen fast.

One jump over the wall and then another. They were hideous.

"Their claws are poisonous so do not let them scratch you."

She jump out of the way as one of them came at her. She turn and slide off its head. She grimace at the black liquid.

"That's disgusting."

She went after the ones going to the tent. She cut her way through until she was out of breath.

"Is everyone OK?"Azulon asked as he look around.

"We're good."

"I have a feeling this is just the beginning."

Savannah lean on her blade as a wave of dizziness hit her. The deep breaths weren't helping.

"General are you OK?"

"I'm fine Azulon." She stand up straight only to black out.

Azulon ran to her catch her before she could hit the ground.

"Savannah! Was she hurt?"

Azulon life her up and bring her to their makeshift medical station. He place her on the bed and feel for a pulse.

"Her pulse is weak."

"Step back." Azulon step back so the doctor can check her.

"Please be OK baby." Her mother watch across the room with tears in her eyes.

"She's OK. It's nothing serious."

"Onyx will kill me if anything happened to her."

"She's just pregnant."

"Pregnant?!"

It was like a echo in the room.

"Yeah. She will be fine."

Azulon laugh. Everyone look at him like he's crazy.

"This is great!"

He ran out of the tent screaming like a mad person.
