//CHAPTER 4.1

Cyan

A threat has escaped, and fear's icy breath,

Now grips the hearts of seven (I think), lost in dread.

No longer safe beneath the moon's soft thread,

They ponder if their fate is sealed by death.

..........................................

No warnings...yet.

Cyan had just heard the alarm signaling the end of the hunt. She had carefully opened her door this time, instead of barreling out of her room and down the hallway like she had last time.

She was eager to go and ask Blue and Green about the interesting kills when she had heard the announcement on the speaker.

As the speaker turned off, Cyan glanced around confusedly. What could have been the occasion? Was someone in trouble? What if someone had gotten hurt?

Cyan felt a wave of panic run through her as her mind ran through about ten different scenarios in a matter of seconds.

Cyan knew that she couldn't jump to conclusions, so she, despite her earlier vow to be careful in the hallways, rushed towards the main stage room.

On her way over, she found Purple crawling out of his vent. She quickly walked over to him.

"Purple!" She exclaimed, happy to see that the vent dwelling monster was safe, at least.

Purple turned around to see Cyan, and seemed to be attempting a smile, although the monster had no mouth to smile with.

"Cyan. What's happening?" Purple asked, sounding nervous as he looked around, searching for any of the other Rainbow Friends. Cyan also looked back and forth, feeling the tension in the room.

"I don't know, I was just on my way to the stage. I hope no one's hurt, or worse." Cyan said, shuddering slightly. Purple seemed to be upset by that. Cyan wished that she could comfort the timid monster, but she didn't want to lie to him either.

"Then we should hurry." Purple said, and Cyan nodded.

They continued to walk towards the main stage, both moving at a brisk pace but also trying to seem calm, although both were definitely panicking on the inside.

As they walked into the room and past the small gates, they saw that all of the other Rainbow Friends were already there. Cyan breathed a massive sigh of relief as she saw that no one was hurt.

As she and Purple walked up, everyone turned to watch as they joined the group. Cyan could feel the tension in the air, it was even worse than when she had accidentally broken Yellow's propellor pack last year while trying to put it on herself.
