Chapter 34

It was the daytime, the sun was shining in the sky over the beach. Some people were present there because it was daytime. Avni and Neil were also standing at the beach. Neil was confused and he looked around and then he looked at Avni.

Neil: Avni, hum yahan kyun aye hain?

Avni was looking at Neil who looked at her. Avni smiled. Neil was confused.

Avni: Kyun ke jo main tum se kehna chahti hun woh main yahi keh sakti hun.

Neil was confused.

Neil: Kya? Kya kehna hai tumhe?

Avni: Neil, main janti hun ke tum bohat thake howe ho aur is time tumhe rest ki zarorat hai. Lekin Neil, mere pass time bohat kam hai. Sirf aaj ka din hai. Aaj sham ko main Udaipur chali jaun gi meri duty wahan hai aur mere liye tumhe yeh batana bohat zarori hai.

Neil was not understanding anything and he got worried.

Neil: Baat kya hai, Avni. Sab theek hai na.

Avni looked on and then she nodded.

Avni: Han sab theek hai.

Neil: Phir?

Avni looked around. Neil followed Avni’s gaze.

Avni: Neil, tumhe yeh jaga yaad hai.

Avni looked at Neil. Neil was looking around and then he looked at Avni who was looking at him.

Avni: Yeh wahi beach hai jahan aaj se takreeban do saal pehle tum ne mujhe propose kiya tha.

Neil was surprised.

Avni: Us din maine tumhara dil tora tha; tumhare pyaar ko reject kar ke. Bohat hurt kiya tha us din maine tumhe.

Neil: Avni, tum yeh kya…

Avni interrupted.

Avni: Neil, please aaj mujhe bolne do. Agar aaj main nahi bol payi to phir pata nahi kab bolne ka mauka mile. Please aaj mujhe mat roko. Already main bohat late kar chukki hun ab aur late nahi kar sakti.

Neil remained silent. Avni took out a ring from her pants' pocket and Neil was shocked to see the ring because it was the same ring that Neil gifted her. Neil looked at Avni who was looked at the ring. Neil also looked at the ring.

Avni: Yeh ring yaad hai tumhe, Neil?

Neil looked at Avni.

Avni: Yeh wahi ring hai jo us din tum ne mujhe pehnai thi.

Neil lowered his gaze and then he looked at Avni. Neil was confused and nervous.

Avni: Us waqt meri nazar main is ring ki koi ehmiyat nahi thi. Mere liye yeh sirf ek ring thi. Is ring ke sath kitne emotions jore hain is baat ka mujhe koi andaza nahi thi.

Neil looked down.

Avni: Lekin aaj meri raye is ring ke liye bilkul alag hai. Ab yeh ring mere liye sirf ek ring nahi rahi. Is ke sath jore emotions ka andaza ho gaya hai aur ab aur bhi emotions is ke sath jor gaye hai.

Neil frowned.

Avni: Aur isi liye aaj main chahti hun ke tum yeh ring mujhe phir se pehno.

Neil was surprised and confused. Avni smiled. Avni was getting nervous so she sighed. Avni held the ring in her both hands. Avni sat on her knees and Neil was shocked to see that. Avni was looking at Neil.

Avni: Neil, kehte hain ke hum kisi cheese ki, kisi insan ki value tab hi hoti hai jab woh cheese, woh insan hum se dur chala jata hai. Mere sath bhi asa hi howa. Tumhare mujhse dur chale jane ke bad hi mujhe ehsaas howa ke meri life main tumhari kya ehmiyat hai. Tum kya value rakhte ho mere liye.
