Ahkmenrah's POV

"Ahkmenrah you need to get ready. The sponsors are coming today." One of the servants told me.

"Why do you keep bringing them?" I whined not unlike a child would.

"You need a wife, Ahkmenrah." I sighed. I don't like when women come and strut around thinking I am going to choose one of them. I walked into the throne room and I was pacing back and forth

"Heur!(Boo!)" Katalina yelled behind and hugged me. I did jump.

"Katalina! You scared me!" I said. She was laughing. I turned around so I was now facing her hugged her the right way.

"I was trying to scare you!" She said. I smiled down at her and she smiled up at me. I love her childishness

"Ahkmenrah, the sponsors are coming and she can't be around." A servant said pointing at Katalina. I kissed her forehead and took her hand leading her to her room.

"Stay here please?" She looked confused.

"Why? I was trying to scare you, but I didn't mean to upset you." She looked scared now.

"No, Katalina, I meant that because I am having sponsors come for me to like them." She looked less scared.

"Okay, I'll stay here." She said. I kissed her forehead again and left the room. I sat through all the sponsors who went through. Everyone almost looked the same. I don't want to be here. I just want to be with Katalina now. That would be more fun. Each one either winked or blew a kiss. It's very annoying.

All the girls are now still flirting with me. It's still annoying. They all fight over me and I hate it. It's the same thing every time.

"Ahkmemrah!!" I heard a girl yell. All of the sponsors stopped talking and I looked over and saw Katalina covered with black ink. I went over to her.

"What happened?" I asked her. All the girls were glaring at me and Katalina. She was wet and covered in black ink.

"Your brother, he put it on me..." She said. I grabbed her hand and lead her to my room. "No, I don't go in there. That is for you." She said pulling her hand away from mine.

"Katalina, you can come in here. It is okay." I said and held my hand out again. She took it and I lead her to the bathroom and got her clean water.

"Ahkmenrah, he ruined my dress. It is all I brought with me." She said looking at me sadly.

"I will try and clean it but do you want to borrow something from my mother's clothing."

"I couldn't. They are all for her. You have already done so much to me. You let me stay, you let me in your rooms, and I cannot wear your mother's clothes."

"Ahkmenrah why have you left your sponsors for her?" The servant said.

"Kah has been mean to her. As he used to be mean to me." I snapped at her. After that, she left rolling her eyes. "Katalina. I want you to wear her clothing." I lead her to where we had kept my mother's clothing and I eventually convinced her to wear it. But it did take a lot of convincing. Then I took her back to my room so she could bathe. I left her alone and took her dress and tried to wash it.

Her dress came clean. That makes me very happy. I walked past the bathroom and heard her singing again. She has a beautiful voice.

I went back by the sponsors and they all glared at me.

"I am sorry for that, and I am sorry but none of you have made it." They continued to glare at me as I walked away. As I was walking away I bumped into someone. I looked down and saw Katalina.

"I am sorry." She said. She was wearing mother's dress and looked beautiful. She looked up and hugged me. "My hair is still stuck black." I looked down and the top part was a light black almost grey and the bottom part was still blonde.

"Why is she wearing mother's dress?!" Kahmunrah snapped pulling her away from me and looking at the dress. Katalina was scared.

"Maybe because someone put black ink on her and it stained and she didn't have anything else to wear," I said glaring at him.

"You weren't doing anything and she can't just be in Egypt, in the palace, now in mom's dress. You spoil her. Just like mother and father did to you." He said and stormed away.

"He does not like me," Katalina said.

"He doesn't like me either," I said. We smiled at each other. I took her hand and lead her to where I had her dress drying.

"You got the black off?" I nodded. She hugged me. "Thank you!" I hugged her back. "And it will come out of my hair?" She asked.

"Yes, it will come out of your hair eventually. Do you not like black hair?" I said trying to make it a joke.

"I do. Not on me. On you yes. It looks nice." She said and took my crown off and held it looking at my hair. "I can put it on?" I laughed at her.

"Yes you can put it on," I said. She put it on. She looks so cute with it on. "You have to put this on with it," I said taking off my jeweled wesekh while she took off my crown. I placed the wesekh on her and she put the crown back on and stood on her tiptoes and put her hands on her hips imitating me.

"I am Ahkmenrah fourth king of the fourth king ruler of the lands of my father." She said. I laughed at her. I have not laughed that hard in a very long time.

"You're adorable," I said to her. She blushed a light red she took off my crown and my wesekh.

"It is very heavy." She said giving me my wardrobe back.

"Yes." I felt her dress and found the sun had dried it. "Here is your dress. It is dry."

"Thank you so much!" She said, hugged me one last time, and walked away.
