Kahmunrah's POV

This is bad. There is so much havoc everywhere. I never imagined a war happening right outside of the palace walls. After I sent out military I felt the need to talk to Katalina. To explain what to do. I went to her door and knocked. Shortly after she opened it just a crack.

"Katalina it is me," I said. She opened it wider to let me in and then sat on the floor. Without anything lighting the room and away from the window. "Why is it dark in here?"

"Shhh. They will hear you. They will come and get you," She said not looking at me.

"What are you talking about?" I whispered. "Oh, it doesn't matter. I came to tell you what you should do because of the war."

"You don't think I don't know?!" She whispers loudly. Sassy tonight. Normally I wouldn't let anyone talk to me like that. What is with this girl and her charm? I decided I would stay in her room with her. And whenever she jumped closer to me I wouldn't push her away like with almost anyone else.

I have determined I do like Katalina. She is beautiful. And maybe I'd have a chance with her if the war hadn't started.

"What do you mean that you know what to do?" I whispered to her. Obviously that is what she wants to be done. Whispering it is then.

"I ran away from war. That is how I got here," She said plainly. She doesn't want to talk obviously. I got up and left her room. I need to be controlling the military anyways. I went into my room and watched from above. Now, look what Ahkmenrah has started. He's started a war.

I watched and watched the war for hours upon hours. I'm not getting myself killed in this war. So therefore I am never leaving the palace. The simplest way for me to live.

I have the people guarding the palace to protect me. And Katalina of course. As long as she doesn't leave she will also be okay.

A few more hours have gone by and the sun is starting to show through meaning it is morning. I wish I could fall asleep, but hearing all the people's screams is not very helpful.

I decided just to stay in my room, and make the servants come and bring me food. I am pretty sure that if I were to leave it would not end well for me. But maybe I am wrong.
I was quietly enjoying my food when the military leader came running into my room.

"Pharoah Kahmunrah, we have become weak. We need more military," He said out of breath. I rolled my eyes. "Sir, we are losing."

"Then start a training camp for the loyal citizens to join. Any man between the ages of 14 and 47 is to join. Now. Go and make this announcement," I said and he sighed and left. And I went back to my food. He just wants more military. We aren't losing. He's just saying that. Everything is okay. Trust me. Then Herit came running in. Can no one leave me alone?

"Kahmunrah, Katalina is having a really hard time at breathing right now." She said in a panic.

"Herit. She is faking for attention and only attention." I said rolling my eyes. I do not believe there is something actually wrong with that girl. She has been playing us ever since I killed Ahkmenrah.

"She is not fakin-" I cut her off.

"How do you know?!" I yelled at her.

"And how do you know she is faking?!" She yelled back at me. "Her heart hurts, her arms hurt, she is very pale, and now she is having trouble breathing. If Ahkmenrah hadn't asked me to take care of her I wouldn't care. But I care for Ahkmenrah."

"Why does Ahkmenrah matter about this. She is faking because of him. She left him at one point, she doesn't love him. She only came back for riches," I said back. This argument is getting nowhere. "Herit. I have a war to try and control, please leave me to it. And remember, Ahkmenrah isn't a part of her anymore she just wants the attention as if he were still here giving her attention," she stared at me. I am right. She just misses the attention. And wants some in any way she can get it. Slowly Herit walked out and went back to Katalina.

I am not really going to do anything about the war. They have to work it out themselves. I am not a part of this. And finally, I could finish my lunch.

Later I finally left my room and walked into the throne room where I found people taking shelter. What do they think they're doing? There is no sandstorm, and even if there were I am not Ahkmenrah, why should I continue with what he did. I told my complaints to them and they tried pleading with me but I left them and returned to my room.

While sitting in my room, I saw Katalina walking into my room, the suddenly she collapsed and screamed out in pain. I ran out to her to see her holding her chest above her heart in pain and tears were streaming down her cheeks as she laid on the ground.
