Ahkmenrah's POV

"Do not be sorry. I am okay and it made me think," I nodded for her to continue. "I love you Ahkmenrah and I would love to marry you."

I smiled wider than I ever have. My smile should probably hurt my cheeks but it doesn't. I leaned forward and hugged her and kissed her.

Out of all the things she could have said I was not expecting her to accept my hand in marriage. And just like that all of my sadness vanished.

"We have to go tell the Royal Priests," I said. I took her hand and we got up and ran to the Priests. I knocked on the door and one opened it.

"King Ahkmenrah. And Miss Katalina. What can we do for you two?" Nefer asked.

"Katalina and I are going to be married," I stated strongly.

"Is that allowed?" He asked me.

"Yes. I have asked the royal adviser."

"If he has said it is okay then it shall be. We will set it for three days from today. We can invite the city and can hire the best of everyone to set up," He said, I nodded. "I will go out and let the townspeople know." I smiled and before he could leave I tapped him.

"May I tell her about the tablet?"

"If you trust her, I trust her. Plus you barely know much about it." He said and left.

"What did you say?" Katalina asked. I forgot she was with me and hardly knows Egyptian.

"They are allowing us to get married, and I have something to show you." She looked at me curiously.

"Show me what?" I took her hand in mine.

"Follow me." I lead her to the room with the tablet and hopefully without anyone seeing I took her inside. I let go of her hand and went to the tablet with her following me.

"Ahkmemrah. Are we supposed to be here?"

"Yes. But no one else is."

"I am not supposed to be here?" She asked heading towards the door.

"No, it is okay." I pulled the silky fabric off of the tablet and she stared at in awe.

"What is it?"

"It is The Tablet Of Ahkmenrah. It does wonders. I have only been taught about it once but my father had it made for me when I was born. I don't know for sure what it does." She was staring at it not responding.

"It is beautiful," She said. I nodded agreeing with her. I covered it back up and we left the room.

"Miss Katalina. There is a seamstress here to help you with picking your dress." She nodded and went with Nefer.

I waited bored for Katalina to be done. I am too excited to not be with her at all times. I can't believe she even came back.

"Surprise!" I heard from behind me making me jump. I heard Katalina laughing. "I am very good at scaring you." She said coming in front of me. I playfully glared at her. She took my hand and sat next to me.

"I thought we said it's not nice to scare people," I said jokingly. I kissed her hand. "Does your cheek hurt?" I asked.

"Only if it is touched. And sometimes when I smile." She said smiling softly.

"Then why do you smile if it hurts?"

"I am not going to stop smiling now. I am too happy."

"You were never married correct?"

"I was not married. When I left I still lived with my mom. But my mom hid me from the government." She said.

"How so?"

"The government did not know about me. Mom wanted me to fall in love and not be forced to marry. She fell in love with my father, which was an odd thing for Greece." I nodded understanding slightly.

"Ahkmenrah and Katalina, it is time for you two to go out and greet the public. Basically, you're going to get on the back of this chariot and wave to the people. And assuming they will be happy they will cheer." Nefer said pushing us both to a chariot. We got in and I held her hand.

The chariot started moving and Katalina clutched onto my arm to keep from falling over.

"Are you okay?" I asked her. She nodded.

"Yes, I just was not ready," She said while letting go.

"You may stay. I do not mind." She nodded and held on again. When we were out of the palace grounds there were people everywhere cheering.

Katalina and I waved all the way through the crowd as some congratulated us. When we got through the crowd we took a different way back to the palace so we didn't have to go through the crowd once more.

When we got back to the palace they took us separate ways from each other. I wish to be with Katalina. But they are now getting me ready for the wedding day. Measuring me for my wedding attire. It took a while. I wonder what they're having Katalina do. I let my mind wander off and soon found they were done with measuring. Just before I could leave they came and took me in another direction. I was taken to the kitchen and Katalina was there as well.

"We need you two to pick out what you want to eat on the wedding day," Nefer said.

"You can pick." She said to me. "I do not know these." She said. The menu was written in Egyptian. I decided on beef. They will also make a cake and we will drink wine.

"Now that this is decided. Ahkmenrah I need you this way." Nefer said and Katalina was taken a different way. I sighed and followed Nefer to the throne room. "We're going to be using the throne room for the reception. Where would you want the wedding ceremony to happen?" He asked. I thought about it for a little while.

"Can we hold it outside?" I asked.

"Of course. So outside it is?" I nodded.

"Okay, well it is getting late so I will let you go to bed for tonight." He said.

"Thank you." I walked away from him and to my room. I haven't seen Kahmunrah at all today. Maybe it's for the better.

I walked into my room to see Katalina already asleep on my bed. I took off my crown and set it quietly on the table and laid on the bed. Before falling asleep I kissed the top of Katalina's head very softly.
