Harry's P.O.V

Everyone went home when I told them that both Tahira and Ameera had fallen asleep. After heading back in, I stood over Ameera's cot, looking down at her with a soft smile on my lips.

It was hard to believe that she was my daughter. That I had become a father. A father to this small, vulnerable, beautiful little girl. I ran my thumb on her cheek, but it looked so big beside it, my heart melted and I leaned down, placing a light kiss on her cheek.

When I woke up next, I heard someone cooing. "You know, I'm your godfather. Not that your parents had a choice in that matter. You're just so adorable! And I'll make sure to spoil you. Maybe I'll just take you out for a walk and then keep you with me forever. I'll-"

"Don't even think about it, Louis." I said groggily, opening in my eyes only to see him standing in front of the cot with Ameera in his arms. He gave me a pout

"But just look at her, Harry! I'm keeping her." He said and I chuckled, running a hand through my hair

"Sorry, she's not going anywhere but home now." I said and he chuckled

"I think she's got your ears and hair." He said and that's when I noticed that the cap Ameera was wearing had slipped off her head.

I got up from my place, walking over to him and he handed Ameera to me. He was right. She had my hair and ears. And let's not forget the eyes. Otherwise, everything about her resembled Tahira

"She's a perfect mix of you two." Louis said and I nodded with a smile "She is." I said

I picked up the cap that had fallen in the cot and tried to put it back on Ameera's head with one hand, adjusting it so that it covered her ears.

"You've gone all paternal suddenly." Louis said and I chuckled, placing Ameera back in the cot when she tried to move her arms and legs but couldn't because of the blankets restraining her.

"It comes naturally, Louis." I said, smiling down at my daughter.

Both Tahira and Ameera had been kept under observation for the day and overnight. When Dr. Bailey was satisfied that both of them were well and healthy, they got discharged on the next day.

We walked out of the hospital doors, Ameera was sleeping peacefully in my arms. Tahira was walking beside me slowly, feeling slightly awkward after walking for the first time since giving birth.

Flashes came at us as soon as we walked out, the paps were shouting questions at us as soon as they saw us. I covered Ameera face with my hand, blocking her face from the flashes so that she wasn't disturbed from her sleep.

"Harry, show her face!"

"What have you named her!?"

"Tahira, how long were you in labour!?"

They shouted at us. It only got worse when we were halfway to our car and in the middle of the whole storm, so to say. Ameera stirred in my arms and when I looked down, her face was scrunching up slightly as if she'd cry any second. I tried rocking her a little but her face didn't change; the shouts around us not helping it either.

"If she starts crying..." I trailed off and Tahira pushed me to walk faster "Let's get out of here fast." She said and I nodded, quickening my footsteps but making sure that even Tahira was walking close to me the whole time.

Tahira got in the backseat to my confusion, but then she held out her arms and I understood what she wanted to do. So I gave Ameera to her and she buckled her up in the car seat I had installed yesterday. Closing the door, I quickly walked towards the drivers seat and got in. Starting the ignition, I drove away from the paps.

Ameera didn't cry thankfully. She just calmed down when I drove away from the paps, going back to sleep. The drive went quietly. Whenever I looked through the rear view mirror at red lights, I'd see Tahira smiling at Ameera, running her fingers softly over her cheeks. It made me smile too. Looking at my two girls, it made me feel accomplished. As if I'd won at life.

When I parked the car in the driveway of our house. I got out, opened the back seat door and Tahira handed Ameera to me before stepping out of the car. She held her arms out to me

"Give her to me." Tahira said and I reluctantly did. When we walked inside, I frowned.

The house was quiet. Too quiet.

"Alright everyone, don't even bother screaming 'surprise'." I said and then groans filled the air

"I told you he'll know what's going on." Liam said as he stepped out from behind the wall and was followed by everyone else. He walked over to us "Can I hold her now?" Liam asked and Tahira nodded with a smile

"Of course." She said and carefully transferred Ameera to Liam's arms. Everyone crowded Liam, wanting to see Ameera up close unlike how it was the day she was born. I think everyone was too tired to do anything then.

Gemma suddenly took Ameera up from Liam's arms saying that it was about time she met her niece. The pout Liam and the others gave made us laugh. I wrapped my arm around Tahira waist, pulling her closer as we laughed. But it increased when Ameera started crying just as she settled in Gemma's arms

"She doesn't like you." I said and Gemma glared at me while Tahira elbowed me in the stomach

"She's just hungry. Don't be mean, Harry." Tahira said and at that, Gemma gave me a smug look before handing Ameera to Tahira who then took her away to feed her.

"I still like her more than you." Gemma commented and I chuckled "You keep doing that." I said and they laughed.

They all walked into the family room after that, waiting till Tahira was done feeding Ameera. I walked into the kitchen, fetching myself a glass of water and while drinking it, I thought to give some to Tahira too. No doubt she was also thirsty.

"Tahira?" I called out as walked towards the room and heard her call back "In here!" She called and I quickly found the room she was in

"I'm coming in." I warned her and then opened the door. She was siting there on the bed cross legged, Ameera hidden under her shirt as Tahira nursed her. When Tahira saw me, she gave me raised eyebrows

"I thought you'd be thirsty." I said gesturing to the glass of water in my other hand and held it out to her. She gave me a smile and took the glass from me.

"I was actually. Thanks." She said and took a gulp while I sat in front of her on the bed. I took the glass back when it was empty and Tahira gave me raised eyebrows to which I chuckled

"Alright, I'm going."
