Brent

God why was Debbie such a bitch where Chrissie was involved, normally I would have thought she was jealous of my pretend girlfriend, but Debbie was older than me and quite frankly she did not float my boat so to speak, she knew we were never going to be a couple and as far as I knew accepted it.

I would need to find a way to keep the two girls in my life separate, however I needed to deal with today.

And that meant the press that undoubtedly were camped outside my home waiting for a glimpse of my fiancee, I loved that word especially when it was directed at Chrissie, there was no doubt in my mind that Chrissie and I were way beyond the fake girlfriend bit.

I didn't even think of her as a friend with benefits, there was so much more to us, we just went together seamlessly as though we were meant to be a team, a pair, were we really that clichéd saying soul mates, normally I would laugh at such a ridiculous suggestion even if others said it about themselves, but could I be wrong, could Chrissie and I be it, meant to be, whatever you wanted to call it... Soul mates?

Shaking these thoughts from my head, I started planning the day and more importantly how I was going to get Miss feisty Wallace to play along.

One deal with the immediate press, two deal with my daytime TV interview, three get her to shop for a dress and four get her to accompany me to Buster's film premiere tonight, having deliberately kept these facts from Chrissie I was being to think it had been a bad idea.

I certainly needed help, probably a whole team of help.
Garrett and Joe were on their way to deal with security. Claudia had been a lifesaver agreeing to take Chrissie shopping for a dress, though she wasn't to hard to convince as she was a shopaholic.

Whilst Chrissie would be shopping, Debbie had a script for me to try out, why she insisted I do it this afternoon I don't know, but it shouldn't take long. Then off to the premiere, I hope with Chrissie and more questions from people.

If I could pull all this off without loss of life on either side I would be a happy man.

"Brent are you okay" a warm hand placed on my arm and that sexy feminine voice of concern in my ear and I was ready to say sod this and take Chrissie back to bed for the whole day, I am never like this I don't continuously want to bed the same woman, but it was more than that, I loved hearing her voice, I loved her touching me, teasing me, hell I loved it when she dumps me on the floor, let's be honest I love Christine Wallace, fact!

Chrissie

Brent was just standing there staring into space, he hadn't moved for about five minutes, so I touched his arm and asked him if he was okay, this seemed to bring him back to reality.

"Sorry" he muttered "Lost in my thoughts for a minute, anyway we need to leave can you be ready in an hour, Chrissie"

"Um, I'm ready now?" It came out more of a question than an answer.

"Um, how can I put this, I have an interview on daytime TV this morning and I was hoping you would come, not to be on the show" he hastily added the second part.

"But to sit in the audience, then we could go to lunch straight from the studio"

"Oh, okay, I'll change into something not so casual then"

"Okay, an hour is that enough time for you , I mean"

"An hour's fine" he was so cute, I'd never witnessed him so nervous before and stuck for words, him! an actor as well, unheard of, I couldn't help but smile that I had this effect on him, turning I headed back to my wardrobe to find something to make him proud to be seen with him.

I had never been in a TV studio before and was rather surprised at how small it was, it probably didn't help the appearance of tiny when you have Yogi and Bo-Bo either side of you, peering around I spotted a young woman down at the front waving frantically at me, it took a moment to recognise it was Destiny, so I happily waved back and scooted down the aisle towards her.

"Brent told me you were coming and I've never been before so I got in quick and grabbed the best seats in the house" in way of an explanation as to her presence here.

"Thank you, must admit it's my first time as well" flopping down in one of the chairs happy to take the weight off my throbbing feet.

Destiny took the chair next to me and Garrett and Joe either side of us, though I didn't think the people sat behind them would be to happy they wouldn't be able to see a thing.

The next twenty minutes ticked by, Destiny and myself enjoying our time getting to know about each other all the while people drifted in and were ushered to seats by the studio staff.

Eventually all the seats were filled and the door closed, we had a laugh with the guy who's job it was to get the audience warmed up, before silence was requested and the female host came on, introduced herself and sat behind her large desk.

The first guest was a rising star of comedy Ryan Gillespie and he was pretty funny and had the audience in stitches, then an all girl band called Wilderness and their new single had quite a catchy tune.

Then came the grand finale.

"Lady and gentlemen, he's the hottest actor on the planet, with three Oscars under his belt, Grammy's, and countless other awards, star of no less than ten major box office films, the man every producer want in his stable, please put your hands together for Mr Brent Simons" arm raised in dramatic fashion, as cheers, screams and whistles emanated from the audience.

Brent strode on to the stage all smiles and waving to the crowd, sitting on the sofa opposite the host, the audience quietened down and returned to their seats and the interview began.

It seemed like a fairly routine interview to promote his films that was due for release soon and Brent quite happily answered her questions.

"Brent is it true that you recently got engaged to Miss Christine Wallace"

"Yes, that is true, I asked, she accepted and I feel like a very lucky man"

A few Arh's from the audience.

"I believe Chrissie is here today in the audience"

Oh shit, I thought as I sank lower on my seat.

"She is" Brent seemed a little uncomfortable with this line of questioning as well.

Then my presence was announced as a single spotlight picked me out from the audience and lit me up for the world to see.

"Hi Christine, would you like to come up and join us on the stage.

No not really

"Umm sure, thank you"

To a small round of applause I got up and edged my way along to the steps at the side of the stage.

Sitting quickly next to Brent, who put his arm around my shoulder and hugged me to his side.

"So Chrissie, is it alright if I call you Chrissie" she urged and I nodded.

"Well Chrissie the answer the world is wanting to know is when is the big day, when are you and Brent getting married?"

Oh great what do I say to that!
