Escaped: Chapter 10

Okay. Tip for when you go to get your first car. A Dodge Avenger? Not a good idea. It is the smallest car of all time. Especially with four people in it.

I squirmed trying to get comfortable. This car had zero leg room.

"Cramped, huh?" I heard a voice next to me whisper.

I looked up to see Harry's green eyes.

I nodded.

He laughed and whispered quite loudly, "I know. Worst car of all time."

"Hey!" Perrie called from the passenger seat. "Don't talk about my baby that way."

Harry shrugged and said, "No one's calling Zayn cramped. That between the two of you."

I bursted out laughing and so did he.

Zayn, who was driving chuckled.

"It's like being stuck in a car with a five-year-old," he laughed.

Okay. For kidnapping psychopaths, they weren't bad, I guess.

Was I still going to try to escape? Yes.

Was I still going to make a run for it the first chance I got? Hell yes.

But if I had to be stuck with these people, I'm glad they weren't a bunch of assholes.

Harry, next to me, stuck his head in between Perrie and Zayn.

"I'm hungry," he complained.

My stomach growled and I realized I hadn't eaten anything since yesterday.

Perrie gave him a pouty face.

"You'll have to wait," she said.

"Why?" He whined.

"Because we've only been driving for twenty minutes, mate," Zayn said.

"I'm with Harry," I mumbled.

He laughed at me.

"She speaks!"

I smiled a little, trying not to laugh.

Harry looked at me and his smile faltered.

"Hey, what happened to your head?" He asked, concern in his voice.

"Oh, um..." I shifted and bit my lower lip. "Liam- I mean, I just..."

"She called the cops," Zayn finished for me. "On her cell phone."

"Oh," he said. "Resulting in the change of plans?"

I nodded.

"Liam's got quite the temper, huh?"

"You could say that again," I said, blinking back tears.

"But, hey," he said putting a hand on my shoulder. "He's not... He's really a good guy-"

"Once I get to know him?" I scoffed and shifted my body away from him, towards the window.

Harry sighed and leaned back in his seat.

How could Harry be defending Liam? He's got a bad temper and he's murderer!

'Because they're murderers, too,' I reminded myself.

I couldn't forget that I was dealing with One Direction, one of London's worst gangs in history.
