4 a.m Calls

4 a.m

"Ugh!" I groan, shoving my head into my textbook. Why's Musical Theory so hard? Anyone who's said that music is a bullshit course obviously hasn't tried it before. I'm so unbelievably tired right now. Coach has doubled my training time since I practically missed the whole month of January and I need to get all my elements solid again. School's been kicking me in the ass as well because I missed out on so much class. My mind feels like it's going to burst open with anxiety. The only good thing is that my insomnia's been keeping me up to encourage me to study 

I want to go to sleep, trust me I do, but the only time I get a fair amount of sleep is when I'm beside Yuzu. I want to call him but I don't want to be a bother, especially at 4 in the morning. I really should rest seeing as I've been studying for 3 hours straight, but my body won't let me

"Screw it, I'm calling him" I say to no one in particular, picking up my phone and pressing his number on speed dial

Rin-

"Hmmmm....?Hello" 

Crap, I knew I shouldn't have woken him up

He's obviously been sleeping like a civilized human being, unlike me..

"Ummm, Hi Yuzu-kun. I'm sorry for waking you up at this time but...can I come over?" I ask him nervously 

"Hmmm? Oh yeah sure. I want to cuddle anyways" he says with a yawn 

Awe what a cutie

"Thanks Yuzu-kun, I'll be over soon. I love you"

"I love you more Charlie-chan" he says before hanging up the phone

I slip on grey cardigan over my pyjamas before heading down the stairs and grabbing Javi's car keys. I'm really happy that I have such a sweet boyfriend. In times like this, I'm really glad to have him. I click the seatbelt on before slipping in a Panic! at the Disco CD and driving out to Yuzu's house. Exams are in 5 weeks and Four Continents are in 2. I'm honestly just waiting for summer so all this stress can go away

God, I hope I don't wake his Mom up....

"Charlie-chan!" Yuzu says excitedly, seeming fully awake, pulling me into his arms and kissing my forehead

"Yuzu-kun, I'm so sorry I woke you up at this time but I only sleep well when I'm with you" I tell him

"Don't worry Charlie-chan, your fun to cuddle anyways" he says grabbing my hand and leading me to his room 

As he walks in front of me, I can't help but notice his pyjamas 

"Yuzu-kun, your pjs really suit you" I laugh checking out his baby yellow shirt and Pooh print bottoms 

"You know you love them" he giggles 

We get to his room and I take a seat on his bed where he sits next to me. "Charlie-chan, what's bothering you?" he asks looking at me concerned. "How do you know somethings wrong?" I ask gently. "You're eyes are really red and there's bags under your eyes. I know you have insomnia but you look more tired than normal" he points out. "I've been working harder than usual at the rink to get back in shape for Four Continents and I have exams to study for. Since I've been gone, it's been hard to catch up with school" I tell him. "Let's get some sleep then, hopefully you'll feel better in the morning. Practice is in the afternoon so you can sleep in bit" he says lifting the blankets and crawling under them after me, then turning off the lamp

He pulls me into him arms and rests my head against his chest and places his head in the crook of my neck 

"Yuzu-kun, can I ask you something?" I ask him, snuggling further into his chest

I feel him nod his head, his breathing soft, and my hand over his heartbeat 

"For my exams we need to perform and piece and chose Hope and Legacy. If Coach and my professor approve, I wanted to perform it at the Cricket club. I was wondering if you could skate your free while I play?" 

In the dark room, I could practically see his smile; the childish giggle erupting from his mouth is all the confirmation I need

"Charlie-chan, I'd love to skate for you. I always skate for you" he says kissing my cheek 

"Thank you Yuzu-kun. I always think of you too when I skate. Thinking of you seems to calm me down before I skate" 

"I'm happy you chose Hope and Legacy. I love the song but I think I'll it more when I hear you playing it" he says 

"This sounds cheesy, but I think you're my Hope and Legacy Yuzu-kun" 

A/N: WHO'S WATCHING WORLD TEAM TROPHY? You could see that Yuzu was a bit disappointed with his performances but I'm still proud of him. I think the stress from Worlds got to him since he's champion now, people would be expecting a lot from him especially on home ice. Hope you enjoyed the chapter.
