"Elna... A soft voice whispered in the distance, Elna wake up..." I felt the person's hand on my shoulder as their voice got a little louder, making me aware of the panic that was in their voice. Instantly, I opened my eyes to see what was going on, meeting my sisters worried and very wide eyes. Of course, when I looked out of the window, I regretted it instantly. I looked over to Lizzy and saw the panicked look she had earlier has multiplied ten fold when the car shifted slightly.

"Calm down. We will be okay. I will get out first and pull you out after, okay? Do not move." I tried to calm my own racing nerves while looking for a way out without moving too much.

Currently we were dangling off a cliff with nothing supporting us except a branch that did not look very capable of hold the car's weight for much longer, I doubt it will hold another minute judging by the look of how the branch was hanging.

I slowly made my way out of my door and stepped on a branch that was next to the one supporting the car. The car shifted a few inches more, making Lizzy to let out a scream. "Liz, I want you to carefully and very slowly make your way over to me, okay? Move over to my seat and on the count of three you grab my hand." She nodded and slowly did what I told her to do, the car shifting again. By now I became painfully more aware that the car was dangling even more dangerously on the unstable branch than when I woke up and my sister was clinging to the car seat while crying out in panic.

"Look at me." She looked up at me staring into my eyes with her red rimmed ones, "That's it. Focus on me. Nothing other than me." She nodded and I put my hand out in front of me for her to grab, "Ready? One...Two...Three!" She jumped and grabbed my hand right before the car shifted once more, but this time it shifted with the branch, pulling it down and falling to the ground below us. I pulled my sister closer to me and hugged her while we stood on the branch and tried to calm our frantic heartbeats and unsteady breaths.

After we climbed back up the cliff we collapsed on to the ground. Last night I pulled over on the side of the road since I have been driving day and night without a break and I really don't trust Lizzy driving for no other reason other than there might be people out to get us, mostly me, but she doesn't know about it or what I do in my free time just yet.

My hobbies are probably the reason why we almost ended on our death beds today anyway.

I stood up and started walking to the road at the thought. We had to get out of here, whoever did this, might still be in the area.

"Where are you going?" My sisters frantic voice asked from behind me, it was clear that she was still pretty shaken up from what happened, and I honestly do not blame her. Escape one deadly situation only to be faced with another one a few days later?

"I'm going to hitch a ride, you coming?"

"You cannot be serious! We cannot just get a ride from a stranger Elna! They could kill us for all we know!"

"You're more than welcome to stay here then if you want then, where we almost just dropped to our very dusty deaths!"

We fell into silence as we patiently waited for any cars to pass by, but none came, so after a few minutes of loneliness, I turned and look at my sister to see that she was bored out of her mind and picking the dirt from her nails, sighing yet again for the tenth time in the last five minutes.

"C'mon we are walking. There are not any cars in sight for at least another twenty miles based on the looks of it. We can walk to the nearby town and ask for a ride there."

"You have got to be kidding me," I heard her mutter under her breath as I rolled my eyes in response.
