~~But love your enemies, do good and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, you will be sons of the highest. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
                              Luke 6:35(NKJV) ~~

                                                                      FLASH BACK

It was weekend and she was going to spend it with Caleb. The thought of that brought goosebumps to her skin.

The key to the her hotel room was handed to her by the receptionist. Saturdays was normally busy for many hotels so she walked carefully to avoid colliding with anybody or have her bag snatched from her.

She chose to walk instead of using the elevator. Walking enabled her collect her thoughts and it was a form of exercise.

She switched the light on when she entered the room and headed straight to the bed to carry out her ritual of inspecting. It had white sheets. She sat on the edge and spread her hand over it. Caleb hated white bedsheets.

'Hello.' Her voice was low. She needed it to have the seductive effect she knew would get Caleb excited and anxious to see her.

'Hey babe. I'm almost there. No traffic and the car is moving smoothly.'

'I told you to take an Uber, you can't drive far and you're a really slow driver.'

She heard the forced air through his nose and his baritone laugh. 'Calm down, no biggie. I've been driving and so far, nothing has happened to me. Come on babe, what are you wearing?'

    'Clothes.'

'I know, what type of clothes?'

'Jeans and your polo shirt. The one you received in Benin club.'

'Oh, so you are not undressed?' His voice pitch dropped.

'Nope. Still walking up the stairs. Almost there.' She laughed at the lie.

    'Okay.' He said quietly. 'Tobi?'

If it was when they started seeing each other, she would have been alerted by his sudden change of tone but almost three years had trained her to get used to his change of mood.

    'Caleb?'

'I want to tell you something.'

The doorknob twisted under her hand and she pushed her head into the bathroom to check it. Her former experiences with hotels taught her not to always trust their services. 'Caleb can it not wait till you get here?'

She waited for a while before his reply came.

'I just thought it would be easier to say on the phone.'

'Whatever you want to say on the phone can wait babe. Just come here safely. Since it's not between life and death it is not too important.'

    'Okay. I love you Tobi.'

'And I love you Caleb.' She hung up.

Three years was a pretty long time to be in a relationship with someone. Caleb was always the more serious one.

One thing that most endeared him to her was when he left for school, he hadn't let the long distance destroy their communication.

He'd been a loving person since day one, took care to always remember important dates and had a mother that was just as supportive as he was.
