"Mum! I'm home! And Hunter's with me, Ali and Alex will be coming over later," I shout too my mum as I walk through the door.

"Ok, honey. There's some food in the kitchen if you want any," gosh she knows me so well.

We walk into my room flinging our bags onto the floor. Hunter sprawls himself over my bed as Daniel comes running into the room.

"What's up, Daniel?" Hunter says propping himself up and holding his hand up for a high five. Daniel high fives him and jumps onto my bed.

"Wanna play Xbox with me?"

"Sorry, kid, can't today, Riley and I have some business to take care of."

"Okay, what about tomorrow?"

"Sure."

"Yay!" Daniel jumps off my bed and runs out of my room.

"I love your brother, he's so cute."

"You can take him, he's so annoying."

"At least you have a brother, being an only child sucks."

"I guess it is better."

"So, are you gonna tell me?"

I sigh before leaning my crutches on the wall and limping over to my bed and pushing him over so there's some space for me. Lying down and staring at the ceiling, I absentmindedly play with my fingers. "There's not much to say really."

"Just say it then."

"I like him, he likes me, there."

"You must think I'm an idiot."

"Not true. I know you're an idiot."

"Just tell me."

I sit up and he sits up with me, I very, very, VERY, carefully put my legs into a comfortable position so that me and Hunter are sitting opposite each other.

"I'm being serious, I actually like him," lol no, "and I've liked him for quite a while," biggest lie, "and I guess I didn't want to tell anyone or him for fear of rejection," I sort of feel guilty for lying to Hunter now, I mean, he's my best friend.

He stares at me for a few seconds before looking away, "ok, I believe you."

Guilt. Guilt. Guilt.

It's all I feel right now.

"So, who's this girl that you like?"

"Urghhhh," he buries his head in his hands blushing deeply.

I chuckle at his embarrassment before hugging him, "you can tell me," I pull away as he looks up.

"I want to tell you, but I just, I can't."

"Why?"

"We've already gone over this."

"But tell meeeeeeeeeeeeee."

He doesn't reply so I continue to nag him.

"Tell me."

"Tell me."

"Tell me."

"Tell me."

After a few minutes of me doing this, he finally gives in.

"Alright, alright, but you have to promise you won't say or do anything."

"I pinky promise," I say holding up my pinky. He smiles before wrapping his pinky around mine.

"Okay, so who is it?"

"I-I-I like... I-I like umm, I lik-"

"RILEY! HUNTER!"
